Lovely house, set up beautifully great ambience and location. Welcome wine and cheese greatly appreciated. Beds comfy and were only cold in the breakfast room. Gardens need a little TLC Wonderful hosts - thank you. Highly recommended and will be back.

The hostess Margaret was extremely warm and welcoming giving an option of rooms to us, and was quick to serve up cheese goodies and wine on our arrival, however as the building is old and therefore no heating throughout except electric heaters or fires in the main dining lounge areas, these were not switched in for that welcoming warm feeling... I stayed here with my husband for two nights and enjoyed it immensely. The bedrooms are so warm and comfortable, very homely and the beds - so soft and fluffy!! With a built in ensuite, it also allows a level of privacy sometimes not given at other BnBs. The decor is beautiful, to sit in the living room with a... More

Stayed at Lauralla for a long weekend, and it was just lovely. The hostess was very welcoming and accommodating- nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were huge and served whenever we wanted, and since we wanted to sleep in on one day get going early on another this was wonderful. We weren't hurried to checkout either :) It's located... More

Lauralla was built in 1884 and has had a long and solid history as a home to early settlers to Mudgee and obviously by definition , yes; it is old. We are proud of our lovely home and let the house speak for itself, its... More

I had stayed here about 10 years ago with my mother and the restaurant was running and it was fantastic, the twin bed room was great. A bit chintzy and crowded and the ensuite cramped but adequate. I stayed last weekend with my partner and was disappointed to find out that it had changed hands and the restaurant was no... More

We booked the Lauralla based to a degree on their website which boasted a great restaurant including press reviews. However we were somewhat disappointed to discover that the owners hadn't run the restaurant in some time and had no intention of doing so. Considering their advertising makes such a big deal of the cuisine we found it rather misleading. Our... More
