The opportunity to spend the night in an old monastery that overlooks a beautiful gorge is a rare opportunity for us - so that was worth the stay on its own. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable. The front desk staff weren't the friendliest people we encountered but we weren't too bothered by it. Breakfast... More

It's a big Parador, a monastery that was restored. You can see the beautiful view of Casas Colgadas and crossing the bridge you reach the old town. The room was spacious and confortable and the breakfast had good variety of items. We also had dinner at the hotel. The food was good but not special. Don't miss Cuenca!

Incredible restored monastery overlooking gorge in Cuenca.Beautiful sunset; quiet and peaceful. Walk across the bridge to the elevated village perched upon solid rock . Hike to top mountain with monument to Christ. Rock climbers on stone towers . Wonderful old town feel with terrace bars in Cuenca . Just wonderful value. Add this to list of places to see .... More

I am so glad we added these last two nights to our southern Spain trip. We were driving from Cordoba to Madrid for our flight home and decided to detour through Don Quixote country to Cuenca. The public rooms and our suite in the parador were all a delight. Exceptionally well done from the modern art paintings lining the hallways... More

Excellent hotel with amazing standards within an old monastery. Enjoyed an amazing dinner al fresco in the courtyard with live musical accompaniment of Spanish guitar and flute. Room was spacious, comfortable and had an amazing view. Despite having an unfortunate issue with a party below us, the next morning the hotel staff were exceptional in dealing with our complaint. Extremely... More

What a perfect site, beautiful hotel with stunning rooms. Excellent meal in the evening, we had the tasting menu. There were some challenging dishes, the bacalao was particularly salty to the point of being difficult to eat. A criticism would be the lack of cleanliness at the bar area during the day, which for a hotel of this standing was... More

This Parador is situated high above the modern part of the town of Cuenca and on the other side of the valley which separates it from the older Cuenca town, easily accessible via the footbridge linking the two places. The Hotel is easy to find, well signed from the town, and basically at the top of a long steep cul-de-sac... More

This parador is a renovated historic convent perched on a cliff. The prices are quite reasonable at this parador. Be sure to get a room with a balcony and a view of the bridge over the gorge. The building is lovely and the rooms are large, well appointed and comfortable. Cuenca is a great and interesting city, and there's no... More
