As we have traveled a lot i Spain we have about 150 nights at hotels in Spain over the last 12-13 years. Last year we had visited and stayed at all the Parador hotels in Spain; a total of 88 Paradors and we so far have a total of 115 Nights at Parador hotels. The Parador in Cuenca have become... More

Excellent service - had a problem, as constantly being woken up on first night, by crying baby in room next door. The staff (Jose Miguel) couldn't be more helpful in resolving the problem, by organising a change of room for our second night's stay. Evening meal was up to usual first class standard, with my steak being cooked exactly as... More

Great 2 night stay in Cuenca, I believe this is THE place to stay, beautiful and so close to the medieval city, which I imagine to be the main tourism draw to this area. The hotel is historic and prominently photographed in the town publicity shots. We initially booked a courtyard room, however when checking in upgraded for an additional... More

We stayed at this hotel just one night for a two days visit to Cuenca. The building is full of history and the location is just perfect! Staff is also very helpful. I would fully recommend this hotel.

We stayed for one night. The hotel is very well located. You just have to cross a pedestrian bridge to be in the old city. The hotel is very romantic. It was built in a in a sixteenth century convent above the gorge and the town. The room are very well maintain and the reception staff is very helpful. The... More

We stayed here for one night and had a superior room overlooking the hanging houses. The parador was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff, particularly, on reception were most welcoming and friendly. We had snacks in the bar at lunchtime which were very good and then enjoyed a wonderful meal in the dining room in the evening. We opted for... More

My wife and I have been thinking about staying at a Parador for many years, but we were scared off by rumors of exceedingly high prices and very limited availability of rooms I was surprised and delighted to learn of a very reasonable rate (130 euro/night, not including meals) for a deluxe room available at relatively short notice at this... We wished to see the interior of this parador which is in a converted monastery. Having climbed up to the Christ statue on the hill above we were thirsty and went in. We were directed to the bar where my husband ordered coffee. I took a chance on ordering tea ( always tricky outside UK ) and was given a... More

As in all Paradores de España, the level of service and expertise is very high. Historical place with wonderful views of Cuenca. Very conveniently located within walking distance to the Old Town. Good quality restaurant too. Highly recommended!!!

Cuenca is a must have seen for those who love à citytrip that you won't find in the usual list. The parador is probably the best place to stay for this visit. The rooms are spacious and the ones at the front side have a marvelous view on the historic part of Cuenca and the hanging houses. The hotel is... More
