I love this hotel for a number of reasons. The magnificent and ancient architecture and structure of the building just creates an ambience of calm. Especially the central open air cafe and restuarant area with the sound of the water feature after breakfast. Just sitting reading in the early morning sun. Gives me a feeling of calm just thinking about... More

The hotel is in a beautiful old convent and the location in Cuenca could not be better. We reserved a superior room and we were glad, because the view was outstanding. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Could be time for some TLC/updating although cannot imagine staying any other place in Cuenca, this is a very... More

It was the second time around I stayed in this parador, it was still beautiful and refurnished since I stayed there last, however, compared to other paradors, this one is large, in a huge beautiful old building, not particularly intimate. It does however have amazing views onto the village and its hanging houses, which you have to ensure booking correctly,... More

We have stayed here a few times. Love that it is on top of the mountain overlooking the valley and the hanging houses. Lovely drives around the countryside and great little finds on the forest drives. Love the little village of Palomera. . Good little family restaurant with locals We just love this area. Lots to see if you like... More

The hotel was just as described very welcoming, clean, and beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was fantastic with an incredible view of the hanging houses. It was Monday night so most restaurants were closed so we ate in the cafe in the hotel - the cheeseburgers... More

We stayed here last August , and on our return found nothing has changed the location is perfect , The staff were all very obliging on reception ,The parking was good and secure but a bit expensive( also we found this year some enterprising gypsy had taken to try and charge visitors for parking on the roads outside the Hotel,... Over the last 30 years I have stayed in a large number of Paradors all over Spain and have returned to Cuenca after more than 20 years. The location is superb - on a high, rocky promontory connected to the old town by a narrow and slightly unnerving pedestrain bridge. The room was good - but I do like to... More

Enjoyed the experience save the parking and the annoying receptionist who insisted on replying in English despite my continuing in adequate Spanish! As others will state the room is large & clean, pool area lovely and quiet. Food a little mixed - ample starters, indifferent mains and great puddings. Tip- ignore the parking assistant - he is bogus. Drive up... More

This hotel is in a stunning location overlooking a valley with a bridge across to the town of Cuenca and the hanging houses. We ate al fresco both nights in the hotel courtyard and there was live music by local musicians both nights when we were there. We had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard and it wasn't noisy even... More

Thank you for your opinion. We have two outdoor parking spaces, one of 10 places, as you well said, and another of 25 places, plus 30 parking spaces inside the garage. More

I booked this hotel 6 months before our Anniversary and I asked for 2 rooms close together and so was delighted that they gave us rooms with interconnecting doors so we were together as a family but also separate. The hotel is beautiful, it is an old convent next to the bridge over the gorge. You can see the "hanging... More
