My wife and I spent one night in this charming small hotel. The room was quite small, but very quaint and adequately appointed. It had a glorious view across the gorge. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent as was the service. Cuenca is a charming city and the old part well worth a visit.

We had one of best rooms. It was huge and view was breathtaking. Bathroom was big and nice. Service was very kindly. Breakfast was good and found enough to eat. Hotels restaurant is very popular and table reservation would be good to do.

I booked a Double Room with a mountain view excluding breakfast for 2 nights, using Booking.com We arrived at Cuenca Fernando Zobel train station, which is about 5kms out of town. Due to an hour wait for the bus, we used a taxi to get to the Posada. The bus and taxi rank is to the side of the railway... More

Great location and AMAZING view. From reading other reviews, we requested room 33. We actually got room 32 and the view was INCREDIBLE! Bought tears to my eyes. The building itself is an old monastery and so very charming. Overall a basic, simple room with small bathroom. Hot water was hit and miss but manageable. Wifi was great in the... More

Posada de San Jose is right in the center of medieval Cuenca. Our balcony looked over the side of the gorge, beautiful view. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. The only negative is that our room was small but we understood this is an historic place. I felt lucky to be a guest.

Cuenca, beautiful Cuenca, This posada helped to keep the atmosphere. Clean rooms smell fresh. Rooms are simple, but nice. Some rooms are nicer than other , depending on price, but they are all prerfectly neat. Restaurant has an astonishing, wonderful view and food was great. We did not have dinner ther, that was a mistake. We arrived late, but we... More

We could only stay one night but it will stay in our memory as a highlight of our month in Spain. We all managed to communicate with broken Spanish and poor English to end up in the best room in the place with 2 balconys over looking the famous monastery and Huecar valley.. Spectacular views Staff very friendly and we... More

Gorgeous old monastery in the heart of the beautiful old town. Seconds from the square with great cafes, restaurants and bars and incredible views. The little streets are all stunning. The hotel is full of traditional antiquities. The doors and windows all seemed to be original and all is gorgeous. The only low point for me was a hard lumpy... More

We spent one night in this very historic hotel in old town Cuenca. Our hosts at the hotel were most gracious, rooms were very clean and a good breakfast in the morning. WiFi in lobby only. A good location for hikes and beautiful architecture - the hanging houses.
