I first stayed here 2+ years ago and was blown away by the standard and the price. A return visit confirms things are as good as they were. This is a real find - large modern clean bedroom, great modern sizable bathroom, and the most fantastic views into the valley from the back rooms. No breakfast is on offer, but... More

We recently stayed at B&B Tabanqueta for 1 night. We must say that the location was fabulous and the whole establishment was very neat and clean and extremely well presented. The room we had was great with views over the gorge and even a little balcony off the bathroom. Just a couple of minor complaints, and that was that the... More

The hostel is in the Castle area within easy walking distance of everything of interest in historical Cuenca. My room was very quiet, clean, with all you need (flat screen tv, water brewer+tea+coffee, hair dryer, lots of toiletries..), bathroom very modern with great shower. No breakfast served but lots of places near by where you can eat. Ana was very... More

This hostel is a real deal. It is conveniently located between Plaza Mayor and Castillo, just at the bus stop (Linea 1 and 2), and the staff is relaxed and friendly. The room we've got was really ample, perfectly clean, decorated white in a pleasant simplistic manner. Very comfy bed, great shower, clean and renovated to a pretty high standard... More

I found this hostel (misnomer in my opinion...much more of a hotel room) on Airbnb. I made an inquiry that was replied to but the reservation was never confirmed through that service so I just drove up there and took my chances. I'm guessing they are maybe not that familiar with Airbnb, but that's ok as this place was fantastic.... More

We came for the easter break and it rained most of the time so at least this was a nice place to be holed up in for a day. You could not fault the room with plenty of space and very clean and cosy. There were no english TV channels which I dont really care about usually. We managed to... More

We stayed one night in Hostal Tabanqueta and we can truly recommend it! We made our reservation by email (no credit card needed) and communication with the staff was fine. We even had to change our reservation to one day later and they did it without any problem! The hostel lays in the highest part of Cuenca, near the castle,... More

Small clean room with a built-in wardrobe and 2 side cabinets and a flat screen TV. Bathroom was very modern with nice shower but watch out for the water going hot & cold! Beds were comfortable and we slept well, although you can hear people going in and out because everyone has to go through the main door to go... More

Amazing value for money, Hostal Tabanqueta is at the top of Cuenca's historical centre, a stone's throw from car parking spaces and Iglesia de San Pedro. We couldn't ask for more with the room we had. Super clean, comfortable bed, modern shower with great water pressure, and an absolutely beautiful view out the window. Free wi-fi is another fabulous benefit... More

We spent two nights at the Hostal, which certainly exceeded our expectations. It was modern, very clean and had such excellent views of the mountains and city. The room had a tv, hot drink facilities with biscuits and cake and the bathroom area was exceptionally clean with all day hot water. The location was at the top end of the... More
