Our first visit to this World Heritage city and very impressed. The hotel Convento del Giraldo is situated just a minute's walk from the Plaza Mayor where the famous cathedral is located. The staff are polite, helpful and friendly. I asked for a room with a view and could not believe what views were in store!.. On three sides (photos... More

Very traditional and comfortable hotel, great rooms, polite staff, and secure parking just up from hotel. The hotel is in the old town just up from the cathedral, with good restaurants nearby, with the famous hanging houses just behind hotel,if you choose to have a pre dinner drink at the hotel, and ,take advantage of the tapas that comes with every drink, you will not need to... The location is great, right in the old part of town. However, it is readily apparent that some management is missing. A group was visiting and found issues with various items either absent or not operational. Maintenance seems to be a shortcoming. In addition the WiFi is not set up correctly for security and frequently disconnects. TV is missing many... More

Lovely pretty little town perched in the mountains, a UNESCO world heritage site with lovely bars and restaurants scattered about. Hotel was lovely, cool and calm. Expected rooms to be basic in this olde worlde place, and couldn't be more wrong. Beautiful bathroom, large beds, crisp linen and plenty of hanging space. Very recent modernisation programme, and very helpful staff... More

Great location in a spectacular town. Dont bother with their restaurant - the one directly accross the road was one of the best meals we have had, full stop. Breakfast was also very expensive. We went down to the Plaza Major and had jamon, bread and coffee with the locals.

Cuenca is an amazing city on the gorge. Steep streets, lots of alleys and stairs and hairpin turns. We stayed here 3 nights in a twin bedded room which was very comfortable. Had a great view from our window toward the gorge and across to the parador. Fabulous! We were on the 3rd floor. Staff were very helpful. Had issues... More

The hotel is clean with an excellent selection of food for breakfast. It sits a minute or two's walk from the main square with 24 hour parking available just up the road a short walk, where you can enter and leave as often as you like during the day. Alternatively you can ta chance at free public parking near the... More

Right choice Although located in the historic city center, the street is quiet. Does not have its own parking, but customers benefit from reduced public parking, located a few meters. The hotel occupies the space of a former convent, has the minimum comfort conditions, maintaining the tradition and the environment. Attentive staff. It has free wi-fi, but slowly. Good quality... Great but quirky hotel. Perfect position to research old city and cathedral. Good range of breakfast food in very clean and bright restaurant. We were in an attic bedroom so although large floor area because of low sloping roof and beams much of it could not be accessed. Also view from window (well worth it) only available by climbing step... More
