Zamora gained importance as the westernmost stronghold of the kingdom of Castilia from the 11th century onwards as a result of successful Reconquista campaigns by the kings of Léon. The site of its castle and cathedral at a rock overviewing the Duero valley is breathtaking. Walking upwards through the medieval streets and plazas of the beautiful historic centre, you will... I stayed one night and enjoyed the Modernist style of the hotel, in keeping with the collection of Modernist buildings in Zamora. Dinner was very well cooked, and accompanied with a very good local wine. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The night was very quiet, although the room was at the front, and i slept with the... More

One of the most unexpected hotel I've been to! The architecture of the building is very unusual for a hotel and it's definitely not a bad thing! The rooms are a bit old fashioned but very comfy, the staf is friendly, the breakfast is very nice and the location very central. I really liked it!

We har a standard doubble for five nights in May, and were positively surprised when we saw the room. Some of the reviews on TripAdvisor from some time back, gave us the impression the decor was dated and maybe even a bit shabby. The furnishing in the room was trying to resemble the style of Modernism from the beginning of... More

Everything about this hotel is great. Location, amiable staff and good value for money. We were lucky to have a junior suit and the rooms were very spacious. The bathroom was enormous. I loved everything about this hotel. We didn't have breakfast there though because we thought it was too expensive. Will definitely go back and recommend to family and... More

We have just returned from a weekend in Zamora and we had a lovely stay at the Horus Zamora. We booked a Junior Suite and loved it: the room has a separate living room very spacious bedrooms and also a big bathroom, plus a nice balcony. The building used to be a bank and it has been very well maintained... More

Very very nice hotel. In the center of Zamora. Lots of restaurants and bars around the hotel. Also some churchs. Face to the principal market of the town. Not far, the cathedral. Good room. Friendly staff.

We got a good deal here and I'm so pleased we did! The room we got overlooked an internal area; if one was to be very generous, one could say that it was a courtyard. However it was a crummy little space which had the kitchens at the bottom of it. As a result there was no natural light or... More

When we arrived we found they had assigned us a top floor room with a skylight. We didn't prefer this, so we asked if there was anything else. We were graciously moved to a huge suite (that we didn't need, but it WAS nice). The furnishings are traditional in style, but the room was quite comfortable. The breakfast was quite... More
