We have just returned from a lovely break in the Ria Park Hotel. It is set in a relaxing, tranquil setting between vale Do Lobo and Quinta De Lago, and is ideal for a quiet break. I agree with other reviewers that it lacks a bit in ambience - it was quiet in the bar and breakfast areas, but the... more

We booked this hotel via a travel agent using a BritishTour operator with a great reputation...looked nice in the brochure, seemed ideal for what we wanted [a week of r&r somewhere sunny and warm] and so we booked. Then we read the reviews on trip-advisor...and were worried! We wont do it in this order again!! So...if this helps...here's what we... more

Like a previous reviewer, we were upgraded from the Ria Park Garden which was overbooked. Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great but to eat or drink in this hotel if not included in the price would work out very expensive. The pool was very clean but moving off the decking on to the grass meant that... more

stayed here for 10 nights at the end of august 07 in a group of 2 adults and 3 children. paid extra for sea view room but dissapointed to find that the hotel is turned side on to the sea offering a glimpse of the sea in the distance to the right. this also meant that virtualy no sun hit... more

Booked at the very last minute direct with the hotel, we had a week in tranquility, which is great if that is what you want. We ended up hiring a car midweek for 3 days as we were going stir-crazy! But if you want a high class hotel that is efficient if not a little bland, does a great buffet... more

After the Ria Park Garden Hotel which i booked was totally full, we got upgraded for free to this hotel. It was very overpriced, at the beach bar it worked out at about £4.50, for 40cl of beer (not even a pint?). The food was expensive and was not of the quality i would expect from a 5* hotel. Breakfast... more

We have just returned from a Hen weekend at this hotel. We were upgraded as there 4 star hotel was closed. The rooms were really nice and spacious and bathrooms of an average standard. The location was near to Vale Do Lobo and Quinta so was ideal for us. The pool area was nice but nothing really special. Most of... more

We stayed last week for 7 nights and this hotel is quite remote. A car is definitely necessary to get to restaurants (if you don't want to rely on the shuttle bus) Food is not great and poolside drinks are VERY expensive (15 euros for 2 orange juices) I would say that this hotel does not deserve it's 5 star... more

Greated on arrival as a usual guest, everithing was perfect from that moment onwards. Great surroundings, inside a nature park and close to the beach. There was a free shuttle to the Plaza. A small outdoor mall with stores, restaurants and bars. The Spa is amazing. more

The hotel was nice enough- although in the middle of no-where. I wouldn't attempt a stay at this hotel without a car. No Irons in the rooms- this is definately not features of a 5* hotel! The swimming pool was ice cold- so we couldn't use it, and the jaccuzi was luke-warm, so not very pleasant. Breakfasts were nice enough,... more
