We wished we could have stayed longer. Great food, truffle hunt and location was perfect! Cino and Anders are gracious hosts. More

After a good nights sleep in comfy beds, the aroma of espresso wafts up from the patio downstairs. With magnificent views over the hills from the patio whilst having breakfast, you don't want to move! If you do, I would recommend a morning walk trough the forest, very peaceful! We only had four nights in Ankhura and felt totally relaxed... More

We were there for three nights in the wonderful hotel with very nice persons who are the owner. Cino and Anders ( who made excellent food.. ) and their little charming baby boy Conrad - what a child ! We all feld very relaxed, what a nice house and garden. And in the morning you can look at the olivtrees... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Ankhura in late April - it was absolutely amazing. Anders and Cino are great hosts - the rooms are extremely clean and pretty. Anders is an amazing cook - having dinner in one night is totally worth it (if they're offering it at the time). We went on the Truffle hunt and although it... More

Returning to Ankhura injected some really lovely spring into our lives. The medeival stone house worked hard to warm up this early in the spring, but the warmth in the general atmosphere, the crackling of the downstairs fireplace and the hospitality of the hosts definitely made us all warm and fuzzy inside and out. I just never get tired of... More

There really isn't much else I can say about Ankhura. I took my boyfriend here for a surprise trip for his birthday & our anniversary. Based on the glowing reviews from Trip Advisor, I had high expectations & it really didn't disappoint. It was just as I imagined it would be, but better. I wanted something rustic but with the... My sister and I stayed at Ankhura for two wonderful days. Anders & Cino went out of their way to make our stay particularly wonderful. The food they serve is noteworthy (take advantage of one of their dinners) as is the stay in an 11th-Century dwelling. The rooms are incredible because they are so authentically old -- yet they incorporate... More

My partner and i spent two weeks travelling around Rome Tuscany and Florcence, and Ankhura was the highlight. Great location, easy to find(we drove from Rome) close to Sienna, Montalcino, Montepulciano. Anders and Kino are wonderful hosts and the whole 7 days there was magnificent. The cooking class was great as were the daily breakfasts. Would thoroughly recommend the wine... More

We stayed at Ankhura in August 2010. Cino and Anders who runs the Ankhura B&B are the perfect hosts, from the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome and pampered. The house is totally renovated but has all the charm of an ancient italian house, the bedrooms are roomy and very clean. Our room had a stunning view over the... More
