This residence was one of our favorites on our trip to Italy. I think what one needs to consider when booking in Bevagna is why are you there. This 14 room hotel was decorated with period furniture and has many original architectural details. We loved the charm it provided. If you travel a lot and are spoiled by 4 and... More

We were a bit disappointed. These is a medieval village, very small although lovely. The shops and restaurants/wine tastings are closed in the afternoon so you have to wait until 4pm or 7pm till they open. The hotel it's lovely from outside and has a nice garden, but inside it's a bit tired. The corridors are cold, they just heat... More

We were booked into this hotel by our UK organiser. Easy to find but not easy to park; we had to unload and then take the car outside the walls to a public car park where, for some reason, only the central spaces are free parking, naturally these fill first, so some lurking was necessary to grab one! We were... More

My husband and I were recently booked at this hotel by a tour company while on a bicycle trip in Umbria. This was the only hotel on our entire three week trip that was a real disappointment. While other reviewers found this hotel charming, we were glad to get out of there the morning we checked out. We found the... More

We last stayed at L'Orto degli Angeli in 2007, and we were looking forward to visiting again. But this time we were a bit disappointed. It is a lovely old house, and it really should be a privilege to stay there, but quite honestly there were too many things that were wrong. The bedroom door was hard to unlock (the... More

For me L'Orto Degli Angeli will always be uniquely special: it is a privilege to stay in this restful, gracious home with so many fascinating family treasures shared within its stone walls. The small team of staff are charming, the ambience very secluded despite the central location and the delightful breakfasts made all the more so by the solicitous attentions... More

Our first thought when we entered our room, was wow, due to its large size (we had been staying in hostels!). The room had a great spacious lounge area with a couch and a large bathroom. The bedroom if self however was quite small. The double bed was in a smaller room down two stairs, which was a little cramped... More

I really liked this hotel, but do recognise that it won't be for everyone. The building is a fascinating, historically rich place to stay, but will obviously be imperfect due to its age. I personally loved the unique architecture and novelty (we don't have too many hotels in medieval buildings in Australia). Our room was large with a great bathroom... More

This hotel was even more beautiful than we'd expected. We stayed in a suite, which was absolutely gorgeous, with charming views of Umbrian rooftops and the hotel garden. But in addition to lovely rooms, there is a large, welcoming living room on the second floor, and additional rooms and a balcony for reading or relaxing. It's just beautiful and added... More

As other reviewers have already noted, the hotel is in a historic building. It is unique and special. Many rooms overlook a medieval courtyard and its restaurant (which is excellent) is in the gallery of the former roman amphitheatre. Even in Italy, you're not going to come by a place like this all the time. It is a 4 star... More
