For the first time we spent our ski holidays in Austria, in famous Lech. Trying to choose a hotel you first need to fight through manifold hotels that Lech offers. We finally decided to give it a try with Schwarzwand, knowing that it belongs to the Small Elegant Hotels, which never disappointed us. And so it was this time.
Reservation went pretty smooth, as well as our trip to Lech. Tip: if you have navigation system in the car, try to avoid the highway since it is almost always jammed in the high season. Local streets (Landstrasse) are as good (as fast) to take you to Lech.

We chose Schwarzwand since we didn't want a hotel on the main street, where many of the hotels were situated. We were pleasantly surprised to see the location of the hotel, being ca. 3 minutes away from the main street and all ski lifts. Pefect!
