I called in for a quick meal and a drink, it was like walking back in time. The staff need a lesson in service, although I was waiting at an empty bar, I was there for a good 5 minutes before getting a drink. It looked like the couple of locals are able to help themselves from the bar. the... More

Was dreading coming here after reading the reviews but found the place to be very nice the staff were very friendly and could nt do enough for us . It was an olde worlde atmosphere that you don't often find anymore and yes ok if you want to find faults could have done but hey it did what it said... More

The pub is for sale, there only seems to be two men working there, who must cook and serve customers. They must do bare minimum cleaning to the place and probably can't wait for it to be sold! The owner said it needs at least 1 million pounds spent to refurbish it out and it will probably become a hotel.... More

We stayed here very recently and have to say that it is the worst place I have ever stayed in. I'm quite open minded and can let some things wash over me but this was awful. Certainly not worth the £70 we paid for room only. If the hotels closer to where we needed to be weren't fully booked then... More

We booked into the Frocester George for Mothering Sunday having enjoyed great meals there years ago. It's safe to say that our experience ruined what should have been a nice day and a treat for my Mum... When we arrived we were ignored at the bar for several minutes. My Mum ordered a sparkling water and the barman delivered a... More

I've eaten here about 10 times in the last year. I have to say I have had wonderful meals all but twice. A Sunday lunch and a visit on 'fish & chips' night were rather disappointing. I would definitely recommend...just cross your fingers that you get them on a good day.

I stayed in The George Inn for three weeks and I found it friendly with excellent service . The food was good and plentiful and they had a good selection of Real Ale. The landlord Paul and the locals were friendly and the bar was an enjoyable place to socialise in the evenings. My bedroom was huge, clean and very comfortable.

lovely B and B, we stayed for 1 night as went to a wedding near there, the room was big and very clean, the shower was very large and bathroom clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable The only down side is that we could hear some noise from the road
