Staying in a castle had been on my bucket list and this was no disappointment! The ambiance was exactly how I pictured a castle...with modern amenities that is. It's got the feel of a castle, but yet the luxury that I like when I travel. Nice comfortable, quiet rooms. The staff were attentive, accomodating, friendly, and easy going. We were... More

We will remember forever the uniformed porter rushing out into the rain to bring us two white umbrellas and help with the cases which was so welcoming after a long drive through a storm. Staying at this ancient chateau dating back to 12th century gives a real chateau experience as you wander up stone staircases and dine in the circular,... More

We stayed here for one night. When we arrived at this peaceful location the light was perfect which made the gardens look beautiful. The bedroom was quite dark and the bathroom rather eccentic but having said that the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was to hand. Dinner was really delicious and although it was expensive it was very special.... More

These Relais Chateaux hotel/restaurants in France over the years have become very expensive, and while normally very good, some are not great. The rooms are nice, but lets face it, most are very old and while charming and appealing to the eye in their renovated/retrofitted states, are they worth it? Plus the meal costs at demi pension are out of... More

We stayed at this hotel very recently for one night (one of five on a journey to and from France). Lovely setting, good room but exhorbitantly priced. Over pretentious service in the restaurant without food to match. I had 'the chef's favourite' which turned out to be a small piece of very tough lamb with minimal vegetables in the middle... More

Stayed for one night in a suite Christophe Columbe, food wind and service excellent and accommodation very comfortable. Was last here 20 years ago and liked it so much we extended out stay to 3 days, this time again it didn't disappoint and was even more beautiful than I remembered. Will be back.

This is a gorgeous castle with beautiful grounds. The rooms are strange in a good way. We stayed with our two kids in the Christopher Columbus room, which was castle with a nautical theme. Beautiful restaurant with dishes so artistic it seems ashamed to bite into them. We left our camera behind and they sent it all the back to... More

Only stayed one night at this hotel on the way to Italy, so unable to give a fully comprehensive review, but I will do my best because this hotel does deserve a good review. On arrival we made our way straight to the pool for champagne and lunch, this was a good move and a perfect start to our holiday.... More

Lovely hotel, room small but decadent we stayed in a chambres traditionnelles but after seeing two of the chambres prestige we would definitely think about paying the extra.Like the turn down service and the tealights and chocolate were a lovely touch. The swimming pool area is smart and the pool was warm.Drinks before our evening meal were in the garden we had... Very beautiful location. Staying in a castle has always been a dream. This was a wonderful and unforgettable experience that I will always cherish. The grounds are lovely and the staff are eager to help and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Because it was a castle first and hotel second, some of the bathrooms are... More
