I love this place. After a 16-hour bus journey, it's the perfect place to chill. The free shuttle from the coach drop-off makes it all so much easier, the staff are friendly and have good local knowledge, and there is plenty of garden furnature to sit out in the sun - making it far too easy not to leave the... After coming from the city all we wanted was a calm noiseless place to stay to catch up on sleep! This hostel sold itself on being a relaxed environment where noice was kept to a minimum after 10pm. This was NOT the case. This is the worst hostel I've States at, the people here were inconsiderate to there neighbours! There... More

Hostels are clean, social areas are useful to meet fellow travellers. An oven in the dorms is useful and a rarity in dorms across Australia. Beware though! If you want to store your bags for the day it's an extra $5. Which should really be free as there is no storage room for the backpacks. 5 minute walk to Sunshine... More

Me and my friend stayed here for one week and we would have loved to extend our stay if we had more time. Our "Appartment" was divided in 2 four bed dorms, a kitchen, one bathroom with a spacious shower and a huge couch with a TV. We had a freezer and a big fridge and a lot of storage... More

I definitely found my little piece of paradise at Dolphins. The place is very relaxed, the atmosphere is totally different from any other backpacker hostel in the east coast of Australia. You can really enjoy the nature, wildlife and water activities by staying at this hostel, instead of drinking your time away at another party hostel. The hostel is located... More

Stayed here for the first time back in April 2013, loved it then. Was a great chilled out place, everyone there was so welcoming and friendly, and all the staff were brilliant. Having stayed before when i was travelling on my own, i found it a great place with lots of helpful staff with great knowledge of the area... When... More

5 Share room is too small, not enough plugs in rooms, kitchen not very well equipped, guests exchange equipment between 'houses'. There are different rooms in each house with one kitchen and bathroom. Especially the bathroom was not enough for ten persons in the house, you have to wait. Free wifi everywhere. Nice outside lounge area with hammocks, fatboys, table... More

In short, the owners attitude and the lack of enforcement of their own rules...lets the place down. Shame, as our first impressions of the hostel were positive. There was a ridiculous amount of noise and swearing in the garden area, from a couple of disrespectful guests until 4am - when we mentioned this to the manager in the morning, the... More

We stayed in a 5 bed dorm for 3 nights. The layout at Dolphins is homely due to the fact that it is split into different apartments. This also meant that there was usually some kitchen space. There was one bathroom between ten people which would have been fine if the toilet was separate! But this was generally ok. The... More
