Finding the entrance to Reception / parking was difficult Drove up and down Hastings Street a couple of times before stumbling across the back entrance, mentioned this to reception when we finally checked in and they agreed that it was difficult to find, thought some better signs or even writing this bit of info on there website or on the... more

I was delighted to get a booking the day before Easter for our break so I guess I wasn't expecting too much. I think we got the worst room of the resort, tucked at the back overlooking the driveway. But unbelievably this was a good place to stay, Yes the apartment is very tired and badly needing a renovation but... more

Got what we thought was a great deal for a relaxation package online. When we got there, the room stank with a really overpowering odour. We opened everything up but after awhile we were cold and it was still really strong so we had to ring reception. The person didn't seem that surprised by the problem. Then we discovered two... more

My husband and I stayed for three nights for a mini break during the Easter school holidays. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the location-which was great-and the reasonable price for Hasting's Street. Unable to get a one bedroom apartment which I'd read had been upgraded, we settled for a two bedroom. The room was definitely old, and... more

I had read some indifferent reviews on Tripadvisor but was actually pleasently surprised. We stayed for 3 nights and the apartment was very clean and had all the facilities you would expect ie LCD TV, washing machine. The layout was a little strange with the bedroom in the middle of the floor plan with no windows but sliding doors to... more

After reading the reviews on this site, we were a little reluctant to take a gamble on the price, but I'd do it 20 times over! It was fantastic! We had a newly re-furbished room - clean, aesthetically appealing, foxtel and dvd (for our 2 yr old when she wanted a break from the beach!). Washer and dryer available (needed!... more

We arrived with 2 adults Ma Pa and 11 yr old daughter Friday afternoon to celebrate the 50th birthday of a good friend. Self contained unit, large bathroom with washing machine and drier, with shower/spa, very spacious. Two way bathroom leading onto the hallway and also the bedroom, consisting or plenty of hanging space with two hanging robes on eitherside... more

We love French Quarter. The rooms are small/compact but are well stocked with kitchen facilities and lounges. They can lack a dining table but you have an outdoor setting which is all you need. We stayed with our one year old in a portacot beside our bed. There wasn't a lot of floor space for her to move around however... more

This was our fourth time at the French Quarter, and until this time around the hotel was getting gradually worse. We always seem to book here though as the location and price can't be beaten, and to have your own in-room kitchen helps save a bit of cash on the ever-expensive Hastings Street. First of all, let me start by... more
