After 17 months in Australia I can say without hesitation that this is the best hostel accommodation in the country that I have encountered. More of a bed and breakfast atmosphere than a backpackers with a staff that are so helpful and sweet that it borders on the ridiculous (in the nicest way) The rooms are clean and bright, that... By far the best place to stay in Noosa! Fell in love immediately! John and Adam are great hosts/bartender ask them anything! Right near the beach, literally a two minute walk. I stayed in a 4 bed suite and the Rainforest Room.. if traveling solo rainforest room is the way to go!

I really liked this hostel. It had the cleanest kitchen I have seen in a hostel! The location was perfect as it was a 2 minute walk to main beach, which is stunning. You do have to walk about 15 mins up a steep hill to get to the nearest supermarket but this is a small price to pay for... More

I stayed at Halse Lodge for one night and when I arrived at the hostel and was able to check in to my room straight away. I was handed my linen and had to make my bed myself, I've not experienced this at any other hostel I have stayed at. The room was a decent size with 2 sets of... More

This hostel is great. Such an amazing location especially with free board hire. Rooms are comfortable and have lockers and space to move around. The communal areas are good and the on site bar is cheap in comparison to other local places. The kitchen is pretty good but gets crowded quickly. The reason I give 4 instead of 5 is... More

We loved Halse Lodge, it's the perfect place to stay whilst travelling through Noosa. A beautiful addition to a beautiful town. We stayed in a six bed dorm, that was perfectly clean, and not too hot considering there was only a fan in the room. The staff were generally happy, funny and constantly singing - we had a staff member... More

Standard YHA hostel. Supposed to be one of the nicer ones in Australia. I just thought it was ok... dorms could get a little dusty (ceiling fan) and side corner of beds had dustballs. What is nice is they have arrival drinks in the evening for all new arrivals :) would i stay again. Possibly!

Hostel is nestled away from the street behind trees, quite close to the beach and the national park. So the location is definitley a pro! Staff is mostly nice and they do a welcome drink every night for the newly arrived. 6 bed dorm was okay in size, it was just hard to get fresh air in. Bathroom/shower was okay,... More

I have stayed here many times over the last 15 years for the one reason; its proximity to Location is Noosa Heads beach. You can get a private room but you must use the communal bathroom; that's the only catch. There is a kitchen to cook which also has a balcony attached and is great to start the day off.... More

Stayed here the hole time we was in Noosa, stayed in 3 different type room - double, 5 bed and 16 bed. All rooms were brilliant. The 16 bed sounds horrible but it's really spacious and cosy. There is a ping pong table, little restaurant for food and WiFi (need to pay) and also a bar. Only one thing lets... More
