We originally were thinking of staying one night in Noosa but we pulled into Noosa Heads and the Halse Lodge and loved it! We stayed three nights in total. Halse Lodge is so close to the beach, the national park and Hastings Street that it makes it the best place to stay. Friendly staff, good clean facilities plus attached to... More

Please ignore the previous review. I can not recommend Halse Lodge enough. I have just spent six nights in this beautiful heritage building and had a brilliant stay. The rooms were very clean, and there were secure lockers in every room, you just need to bring along your own padlock to lock them with. The kitchen facilities were cleaned on... More

The dour reception at the hostel pick up bus at the transit centre set the scene for this hostel. It's not a friendly place and the accommodation is well below par. The meet and greet session was against an incredible back ground noise and totally dysfunctional. The Mickey Mouse bunk beds, absence of secure room lockers and poorly ventilated rooms... More

Can't say enough about how great this hostel was for us. We were actually staying in a campervan, but you are able to park and use all the facilities for only $15 per person. The staff were so friendly - Sarah especially was great and went out of her way to check in with us and answer any questions etc.... More

Stayed here late Sept 2014. Friendly staff. The welcome meeting at 6pm was lovely. Clean rooms and showers. No sockets in room but reception were happy to charge your electronics for free. I love where it is located. very short walk to the beach and shops. nice to have a place near the beach but feels like you're in the... More

myself and my friend stayed at halse lodge for the last three days and to say we're happy with the experience doesn't explain how amazing our time was. All of the staff were amazing and the vibe around the hostel was amazing. Thank you Halse lodge :)

This hostel is a beautiful old building with a three minute walk from the lovely beach and approximately ten minute walk to the national park. On arrival you are collected from the bus station by the YHA shuttle. You are greeted by very friendly staff. The hostel do a welcome meeting every night for new arrivals, helping you meet fellow... Easy walk to the beach and shops in 2min. Beautiful building with a unique beach charm. Yes, the restaurant is expensive, but its also delicious and it isn't meant for the backpackers exclusively. The staff ensure a great community vibe, and the set up makes it easy to meet new people. Definitely enjoyed Noosa!

Arriving at Halse lodge we were warmly greeted by Sarah and Stacey on reception. From then on they ensured we had a great stay. Room was beautiful- love the stained glass windows! Bed was comfortable and the hostel was quiet all night. The restaurant was fantastic. We attended happy hour (and a half) along with fellow guests AND locals. This... More

Awesome hostel with a good vibe, nice rooms and a perfect restaurant. The restaurant maybe a bit expensive for the "real" backpackers, but if you want a decent meal definitely check it out! The 16 dorm room is very spacious and feels more like an eight dorm room. It has an nice veranda and a shower and a toilet.
