3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Hostel is nestled away from the street behind trees, quite close to the beach and the national park. So the location is definitley a pro! Staff is mostly nice and they do a welcome drink every night for the newly arrived. 6 bed dorm was okay in size, it was just hard to get fresh air in. Bathroom/shower was okay,... More

I have stayed here many times over the last 15 years for the one reason; its proximity to Location is Noosa Heads beach. You can get a private room but you must use the communal bathroom; that's the only catch. There is a kitchen to cook which also has a balcony attached and is great to start the day off.... More

Stayed here the hole time we was in Noosa, stayed in 3 different type room - double, 5 bed and 16 bed. All rooms were brilliant. The 16 bed sounds horrible but it's really spacious and cosy. There is a ping pong table, little restaurant for food and WiFi (need to pay) and also a bar. Only one thing lets... More

I stayed here in feb 2008 and as I loved it so much I stayed again last night, this time in a private room as I stupidly thought these wouldn't be located near dorms and Id get some sleep. Wrong. I was kept awake by noisy and inconsiderate backpackers until 4am last night and there's no one seemingly able to... More

Pretty small room, no lockers for valuables and too few chargers. The tv room is right next to the bar so it is very hard to relax there. Very limited space to sit by the kitchen and the chairs are really low, I'm tall so can't imagine how low it must be for shorter people. And whenever I sit down... More

I am so sad I only stayed here for one night! Halse Lodge was one of the best hostels I've stayed in so far (and I've stayed in so many since being in Australia). The staff are so friendly and accommodating (one even helped me find my purse which I stupidly left in the toilet) and most of them are... More

I stayed at Halse Lodge recently for 2 nights. I enjoyed the shuttle service from the bus station and the senior staff is really friendly (not the backpacker staff though) The rooms are small but you are meant to be outside. The kitchen was spotless and cleaned several times a day but the bathroom was disgusting, cleaned every 28h or... More

The building is really nice and the location very good, less than 5 mins walking from the beach. The rooms aren't too big but clean. The bathrooms and the kitchen are clean as well. The kitchen is not in the main buiding and doesn't offer free tea and coffee but has a good balcony where you can eat. The staff... More

This hostel looks so awesome from the outside. I've stayed here a few times now and its the best located hostel in Noosa. Its easier to sleep in the newer part of hostel as its quieter and room bigger.
