We've just returned home from Donnelly Lakes after spending 2 nights. We booked 3 chalets for the family get away celebrating my daughters 9th and mother in laws 60th. Upon arrival to our chalet we were happy, all seemed good then we noticed a strong urine smell. First visit was the loo where I was greeted by a white tip... More

We just returned from a weekend away staying here. For someone or a couple wanting to get away from phones and the Internet it is excellent. Peaceful surrounds with very clean and functional chalets. Not over done with luxuries but all you need including a 2-4 person spa. I would suggest taking s hamper of food for breakfast and maybe... More

Fantastic spot to hideaway for a weekend. Fresh bread baked for you on arrival. Outdoor spa with views of the bust and lake and nice bush walks around the property. You will need to take some food as pemberion is about 30kms away. Lovely wineries in the area.

As a family of four, with a 10 year old and 12 year old, this was a most welcomed place to reconnect as a family, without the distractions of technology. There is no phone or TV reception ( although movies are available ) and no internet. This was a great excuse to get the kids outdoors and play board games.... More

I wish I could keep this place secret but it wouldn't be fair on mine hosts John and Elizabeth. So beautiful. They had stoked up the fire as we had arrived late and it was chilly and they had preheated the hot tub so all we needed was the wine - check. Freshly baked bread on arrival and the facilities... If you want to escape the rat race and hustle and bustle, STAY HERE. We woke in the morning to ducks waddling about our front door :) We were given beautiful hot bread straight from the oven!! We enjoyed gazing out at the stars at night whilst sitting in our hot outdoor spa! We spent long walks exploring the property... More

The location of Donnelly lakes was stunning. And the cabin had a real earthy feel to it with the wooden decor and the wood fire. We used the wood fire often and it was brilliant after coming out of a lovely spa into a warm cosy hut. I was however disappointed in the fishing, I was excited to hear that... More

I recently had the pleasure of spending 1 night here (dropped in on my Parents time away) and I can say that this is a truly beautiful place. The surroundings are magnificent and the lake and views are great! The wildlife is amazing and the Ducks certainly have a personality of their own..... The owners John and Elizabeth were very... Yes, Donnelly Lakes is beautiful. However, as a fly fishing destination it is totally misrepresented. My wife and I are experienced fly fishermen. We spent three nights there and, because we have float tubes, were able to fish the whole main dam. We fished Thursday afternoon and the whole of Friday and Saturday. Changed lines, changed flies, changed retrieves, changed... More
