No room services, staff took it apon themselves to decide what choices you should make, beer & wine selection, they must think they are mind readers & very bad ones at that. Price of breakfast was ridiculously over priced. Location perfect.

Stayed 2 nights in May in a lakeview room. It was a very comfortable, clean room with a balcony which put you above the lake edge and a georgeous view, particularly at dawn and dusk . Also allowed you to see up close the abundant numbers of birds which were lovely. The bed was comfortable plenty of pillows and blankets.... More

We stay in a 2 or 3 bed chalet at least once a year. The kids enjoy the bush walks, kookaburras and other birds that visit and sit on the balcony. Stunning view over the lake. Excellent spot to get away for a few days in front of a fire and just relax and watch DVDs in the evening.

Unless you have primary school aged children or are on schoolies week I would not recommend this place. I stayed in a 3 bed chalet with two friends over the long weekend and couldn't wait to return home. The place is as basic as it gets and badly needs to be renovated - think school camp style from the 80s.... More

Thank you for posting the review. It’s great to know that your overall stay with us Karri Valley was an enjoyable one, however disappointed to hear that you were disturbed by other guests moving about in rooms adjacent to yours. Unfortunately due to our Lakeside rooms being constructed of timber there will on occasions be some noise, particularly should the... More

Perfect, bush walking and comfort combination. A bit expensive but you get comfortable rooms for 2/3 with private terrace and a good restaurant next doors in the middle of karri forest and near the lake where you can get your very own trout for dinner. We have seen kangaroos, emus, kookaburras, friendly parrots, trout, local rare birds just by staying... More

Its located on such a beautiful secluded location. My room was overlooking the lake and it was just such an amazing view to wake up to. We just returned home from 4 days at KVR. Reading the previous reviews I was a bit disappointed to read that others had a 'mixed' review about the place. I decided to go with an open mind.
