Stayed one night on way to Bibblumun walk. Motel is clean, comfortable with very nice well maintained grounds. Very helpful friendly staff. One of the best things about Karri Forrest is the fantastic restaurant. Good broad menu, really excellent food and fine local wines. We were told by a local that the restaurant had a local reputation for good food... More

We checked into the karri forest motel for 1 night and found it to be surprisingly better than expected having read some of the reviews. Positives: great location, lovely surroundings & well kept gardens, swimming pool (although not heated) Negatives: wifi only available in reception area, room could do with updating-fridge was rusty inside, cobwebs on bathroom ceiling indicated it... Nice rooms with good service, unique as it is. Quiet and beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Close to (within walking distance) Gloucester Tree. Great wine country access....especially Silkwood Wines.

On entering reception found that old damp carpet smell off putting. Website indicates a guest laundry but was told there was not one. The fridge had to be turned on however no-one bothered to properly defrost when it was turned off, hence the drip tray was full of water which then went over the floor. The room description as Executive... More

We stayed two nights at this Motel. Our room was comfortable and clean. There was space for our suitcases and a table and two chairs in the room. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very enjoyable. The restaurant had a nice ambience. The gardens around the Motel were lovely and well maintained.

Despite arriving during a power cut we received a very friendly and pleasant welcome and after a lovely lunch in town we settled in and found the accommodation to be very functional with everything we needed. The only thing missing is a kitchen that allows cooking although there is a microwave. Clean and comfortable and the dining room is a... More

Friendly and helpful staff. My room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. There was everything you needed and expected for a comfortable stay, microwave, kettle, hairdryer, sofa etc. It's close enough to the shops to walk if you like a bit of exercise. I would stay here again.

A nice location with a clean room and ensuite, everything is supplied, it is basic, but you get a table, sofa and tv etc. There is a pool for summer. For the actual price it is great, especially as there is so much to explore in the region and you won't be staying in the room long. Just remember that... More

We spent one night here.We arrived a little early and the cleaning ladies did their best to clean the room for us quickly. The grounds are nice, lawn, pool and little playground. The room was clean but, like a lot of Aussie motel rooms, very dark. The rooms on the upper side of the slope probably get more light. Bathroom... More

Karri Forrest Motel in its day would have been modern. 2014 it is out-dated and very tired looking. A coat of paint, floating floorboards and new beds and furniture would see it looking the 4 star it boasts to be. The family unit we stayed in was spotlessly clean as was the shower and bathroom. Credit to the housekeeping staff.... More
