The overarching trees that lead you into this property are only the beginning of this breathtaking experience. The owners offer the perfect balance of privacy and helpfulness. If you are looking for a stay that brings you back to reality, then I highly recommend this property. I left feeling refreshed, energised and calm.

At $240 per night I expected that everything about the accommodation would be A1, but there were some little things which disappointed us, especially when compared to another country cottage we stayed in a month later for $80 a night (which I will refer to as cottage B). Firstly, there was a hot-plate but no oven (cottage B had an... More

Thank you for your review. It is disappointing that you did not feel comfortable staying in our cottage. You must have not observed that each cottage actually has a convectional microwave as well as the cooktop. This means you bake and grill in the ovens as well as microwave. I understand light switches can be frustrating to find at night... More

Mario and I would like to thank Paul & Petrina for their wonderful hospitality and amenities. It was really nice talking with you both during our stay and you have a little piece of heaven on earth there, very lucky :) We stayed in Cottage 4 and this was very private and well appointed with a dish washer, pot belly... Yes, Clover Cottage is brilliant in all respects, from the time you arrive to the cheerful "come again" when you leave. Paul and Petrina are the best hosts, welcoming in every way. The property itself is to die for and the cottages are as good as we have stayed anywhere in the world. As far as the fly fishing goes... More

Highly recommend these gorgeous cottages! Such a peaceful spot to relax and unwind. Cosy woodfire, delicious homemade bread on arrival, great balcony to sit and overlook a lovely country view. Will be back (but next time for longer)!

We have made Clover cottage an annual event for our family. Our son loves the fishing , I come home feeling really healthy after eating smoked trout for breakfast, lunch and tea. My husband loves the range of wrens and parrots that join us for breakfast. The wood fire is nice following a walk along the Warren river as is... More

Just had my second stay in 10 months, yes the cottages are superb, the valley view beautiful, the blue wrens and scarlet robins amazing, but its the fishing that brings me back. Fly fishing for trout is my passion, and the trophy lake is well worth the extra cost for a days fishing. Yes its not easy, but that's the... More

I agree, those trout on the fly fishing lake are reluctant to leave their waters and are a challenge to the fisherman! (particularly when you can see them!) Although the home lakes are an easier challenge; when you land one of those on Balbarrup lake the success is sweeter!! More

Stayed for four days but could of stayed much longer. Took the hubby, kids and mum in law on holiday and the cabin was very well situated. Enough room to get away from everyone but also close enough to make it cosy with wood fire place a great touch. The views from our deck were beautiful with all types of... More

This is the best four days of relaxing ever. The cottage (#4) was well set up, the smell and taste of freshly cooking bread was very welcoming and much appreciated. The fishing is superb with choices of either keeping the fish from one dam or catch and release from the other two (one trophy dam off site). My partner appreciated... More
