We stayed several nights at the Amaroo. The motel is well-situated on the highway within easy reach of town either on foot or by car. Food options abound nearby. We were not overwhelmed with our welcome but our room was adequate and importantly, clean. Everything is in need of updating but the tariff reflects that. Parking is at the door.... More

For over two years I am now travelling around the world by bicycle. I stayed in many guesthouses, hostels and hotels. this motel was a good choice. clean, friendly and helpful staff, a big room and a safe place inside for my bike.

Located very close to the town centre and lots of eating places. Clearly in good order and well run. This is an older motel but many upgrades have been done and it seemed to be priced exactly right. The room was clean in fact very clean also linen was fresh. I booked on Wotif and then called as I would... More

We booked a standard room for a night for $100. There was a disclaimer saying that those rooms might be a little noisier due as it's closer to the road. But I must say I didn't even notice any car noises. The only noise was the TV from next door but that was bearable and it was turned off early.... More

Upon checking in, there was a total lack of anything resembling "Customer service". Sign at reception states, "Payment must be made immediately"! Found the breakfast menu (on small photocopied paper) in the room which made further demands on payment. Appreciate it is only a continental breakfast, but if you pay by credit card when registering, you must pay cash for... More

We stayed at the Amaroo over a weekend in February. Check in was swift, staff was friendly and helpful. We were in one of the rooms on Bussell Hwy but there was absolutely no noise from the traffic at all. Although the bed was only a double, it was had clean sheets, nice soft pillows and very comfortable. Shower had... More

we stayed at The Amaroo Motel in Busselton for the Australia Day long weekend in January. Our room was clean and well maintained and as nice if not nicer than any motel i've stayed in (we've travelled extensively across Australia from West to East and return). Not just the room but the grounds as well, with lovely lawned BBQ area... More

I was booked in at Amaroo for 6 nights for the recent Ironman Western Australia race and I totally enjoyed my stay there. 1. Check in was fuss free. 2. Given a room away from the highway so it was quiet. Carpark lot in front. There are many lots so even if the lot in front is taken up, you... More

Hard to find a staff member after hours for an emergency. As the after hours mobile was switched off. There was a squashed dead moth on my "clean" towel that was folded on the bed. Turned me off a little after that. The bed didn't feel clean, the sheets were slightly stained. The draft came through the tiny cracks under... More

I have had the pleasure of staying in the Amaroo for a couple of nights. I had a display at the Busselton Show for a couple of days. I was very impressed with the room on my arrivals. The friendly service at the front desk was very nice to find as well. While the room isn't opulent, it is very... More
