We had booked for six nights but on arrival were so impressed decided to extend our stay for another five nights. We had a lovely studio room overlooking the pool with a balcony. The staff at reception very friendly and housekeeping good Only thing we found the restaurant to be pricey but plenty of other eateries and takeaways in the... more

What a huge disappointment. My weekend of pampering began with three trips back down to reception as our swipe card would not open the door. We should have bolted then!! The receptionist however was friendly and polite. The "upgraded" room was tired and outdated. Place really needs a revamp. Chairs and sofa uncomfortable. Furnishings so dated. Breakfast overpriced and food... more

I went to trip advisor after we booked online to stay at Abbey Beach Resort. Many of the reviews were not good and I was a little worried. When booking online it stated it was 4.5 Star. The price we got for a 2 bedroom apartment was under $200. The check in was good and staff helpful. The apartment was... more

This is a big resort hotel, pretty rare for W Australia. The grounds are extensive with a lake and lots of ducks, plus two pools (plenty of duck [--] around the edge in the mornings), and it fronts on to a huge sandy beach - though I got the impression that few people go to the beach. The accommodation is... more

This was our second stay in Abbey, because we loved it so much five years ago. Yes, it was all still there - the three pools, the jacuzzi, the sauna, the gym, the squash and tennis courts, the clean pool towels awaiting. However this time our stay was pretty bad. We stayed in a 1bdrm appartment, and to our dissapointment... more

Arrived at Abbey Beach Resort on the 6th Jan and booked in for 3 nights. Our booking was not on their system so we had to rebook again using their intranet. We also booked another couple in and paid for their stay and advised the hotel staff that they would be arriving and to make sure that they were given... more

Busselton is a family holiday destination and so is the Abbey Beach Resort. Whilst the resort tries to cater for every holiday maker, its clear the place targets families. (Don't get me wrong, I went with my partner only and had a blast) 3 pools, squash and tennis courts, restaraunt, cafe, 2 bars, beach on the doorstep, the place has... more

Our family of five stayed in a three-room apartment for 3 nights. We felt that the five-star rating was somewhat overrated. Positives: Staff were friendly and helpful, great layout of rooms , good amenities in the rooms (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier). Facilities were 3 swimming pools, spa, sauna, squash court, tennis courts and gymnasium. Negatives: Need more than one... more

Pros- close proximity to busselton town and not far out of nearby attractions. -Spa in studio apartment was good. Cons- Outdated facilities, lots of children and more a family resort than one for couples. -poor service at reception, expensive internet access, expensive cafe, maintenance above our room without notice (very noisy). For a 5 star resort, would not recommend for... more

I stayed at the ABR during a business trip for 6 nights. Overall the stay was very good with professional staff and a clean, well run hotel. The only negative I have is that noise really travels horizontally through the units. None of the cupboard or wardrobe doors/ drawers had those little rubbers buffers to deaden sound when being closed.... more
