Dog rock hotel is certainly one of the better hotels in Albany. It has recently been renovated and the rooms are a good size. Bed are comfortable and a nice restaurant with reasonable breakfast prices. Close to town as well. Would certainly recommend for anyone going to Albany for work or pleasure.

This 1980s style motel has been given a makeover, partly, to bring it into contemporary times. Checked in after checking other Tripadvisor reviews and negotiated standard room price for 3 nights in upgraded room. They are spacious and have verandah with partial view of town. My room, at rear of motel was peaceful and very comfortable. Good bathroom, big tv... More

I stayed one night at the Dog Rock Motel on business in a deluxe room. Fortunately the renovated room was considerably better than the uninspiring 1960s exterior of the motel might lead you to expect. It was nicely furnished and very clean. The free wifi was useful. The location in the centre of Albany is very convenient, with a small... More

I had to go to Albany on business with am associate and stay the night, I chose the motel on advice from a friend who runs the local Southwest Regional tourism office. It is exactly opposite the Famous tourist site "Dog Rock" which for those who don,t know, is a large natural lump of rock siting along in the centre... More

Decided to relax and have a spa, then chill in the lush surroundings, up the rear of the complex, with balconies. Booked dinner in the restaurant excellent service... More

I'm reviewing from a trip in Feb 14, but I always stay at the Dog Rock Motel when in Albany, which is usually for work purposes. It's central and close to everything, and has a great atmosphere. I usually stay in a deluxe room - all these types have been refurbished. A recent innovation at the Dog Rock is free... More

The motel is a little dated but there is an ongoing modernisation programme being undertaken we believe. The rooms were clean and reasonably well furnished. The attached restaurant Lime 303 is exceptional but be prepared to pay for the quality.

We stayed for one night over the Labour Day weekend. The room was spacious and we had an ok view of Albany. The thing I found the most peculiar was booking. I booked online and did not receive a confirmation email so we tried calling the next day but there was no answer. We arrived in Albany and did some... More

We stayed for two nights in a basic room on our way through from Esperance to Margaret River thinking this was a good spot to stay. The room was depressing, old fashioned (60's) and unsuitable and looked like a hostel room. The bathroom was disgraceful. The staff didn't seem at all interested in enquiring if we enjoyed our stay, even... More
