My friend and I stayed here for a triathlon at Middleton Beach for the long weekend and being amazingly close, the location couldn't have been better. Beautifully close to a lovely beach with stunning views across the ocean. The place itself is a quaint little guest house with a backpacker "esk" feel, shared bathrooms and common room etc. Let me... I have been a frequent visitor to Albany since my childhood as my grandparents lived in the area. About ten years ago I started staying at the Discovery Inn B&B and I loved it - we would visit every two to three years. This year, we were greated with rude service from the female owner, and the inability to use... More

We spent 2 nights at this establishment which is a mixture between a hotel and a backpackers really. The building is a single story with bedrooms around a central dining area. We had a double room with plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. A wardrobe was provided for hanging clothes and there was a refrigerator. There was a... More

Albany Discovery Inn is located only few minutes drive from the town center. It has the best location being close to the beach (2 min walk), close to the hill (great view); close to other swimming and snorkeling locations; number of walking and cycling paths. You can have drinks on the beach as the refurbished contemporary bar and restaurant is... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for only one night during our Australia trip and it was a pleasant break for us from camping and cheap beackpackers. The place is friendly and clean and it felt a little bit like staying over at your grandma's (but in a good way). The cooked breakfast was a nice extra. There's no kitchen... More

Stayed here for a week. Don't be fooled by the blurb, this is backpacker accomodation with quaint, cutesy decor. Not a B & B in the true sense, breakfast is the same every day, no choice, and only good if you like baked beans. The kitchen is not open for visitors to use. (It may have been once, but not... More

nice place..... apart from the rude owner, dodgy creakin beds that sounded like an earthquake everytime someone moved, smelly mattress and linen, tiny tv that u can barely get signal on, dog barking and whining all day, frogs in the shower, walking through the dining room from the showers to the room, paper thin walls, the worst sausage i hav... Whilst this accommodation is not right in the middle of Albany, it is however a short walk to the beautiful Middleton beach, making this place a wonderful retreat to enjoy the beach. There are also great meals served here which are very reasonably priced, so even if you don't stay, it makes a nice venue to have dinner. The waitstaff... More

This inn is real value. The home cooked meals are wonderful. The atmosphere created by the owners is friendly, no fuss and homely. I enjoyed my stay very much.
