This house is a beautifully renovated old colonial building with spacious rooms. We had a room with an ensuite, which was $140 per night for a couple. The room was starting to show some signs of a bit of wear and tear, but we were happy with the stately furnishings and original style of the room. We do not watch... More

We are a young couple and were recommended Norman House by my parents. Fantastic location, rooms are huge and nice and clean and comfortable bed. Very quaint place with loads of history. Breakfast was amazing and definitely cured our hangovers. Bert and Sheila were most accommodating - felt like we were staying at my Nans! Would definitely stay again.

My elderly Parents stayed at "Norman House" B&B and were full of praise: the bed was the most comfortable they had slept in, breakfast was delicious and Owners were very pleasant and helpful. As it is so close to the CBD, walking is a very pleasant option.

I loved staying at Norman House in Stirling Terrace Albany. I had stayed there in 2001 for work and was looking forward to a short holiday stay in 2014. Yes, it could do with a bit of an update but the shabby chic is part of its charm. It is cosy, comfortable and convenient. The room I had was very... More

Too start with Thank You for taking great care of me Bert and Sheila. You were welcoming and friendly, just what I need after the car trip. Your place was charming and homely. Advice on things to do in the area was helpful. Comfortable accommodation, I will certainly return again and also tell my friends about the charming property you... More

this is the second time I have stayed here and I love the homely feel. its not flashy and new but it is exceptionally clean. Bert and Sheila are friendly and helpful and Bert's cooked breakie is a treat. probably easily the best location for accommodation in town as everything is walking distance and the grounds are picturesque. I note... More

My wife and I travel to Albany at least twice a year for mixed business/vacation. We have stayed at a number of places but the last several times have booked with Norman House. Bert does the breakfasts in a quiet and unassuming manner. It does not pretend to have all the modcons of say a modern hotel but we find... More

Needs a massive re-do and new owners! People who like other people as guests! Do not advertise fresh fruit salad and serve horrible tinned stuff! The place is rundown! Did not enjoy myself and felt miserable there! Had been so looking forward to my stay there! Felt the owner really did not want me there and have to serve me... More

This Bed and Breakfast is in an excellent location, near the Tourist Bureau. it is however very pricey for a bed and breakfast, we paid $190.00 for 3 people in one room per night, The property has large bedrooms that can accommodate a family of 4 and have an ensuite bathroom, together with tea and coffee making facilities, a bottle... Stayed here recently and what an interesting b&b. Yes it's old (1850), quirky and dated but we enjoyed our stay. Beds and linen were both comfortable and everything was very clean. Our bathroom was separate from the room and there is no tv except in the 2 sitting rooms. Breakfast was either fruit, cereal, toast or fully cooked bacon and... More
