I arrived a bit earlier than the normal checking in time, but was met by Sarin, a lovely man who showed me to my room and spent time explaining the facilities on offer. I had one of the rooms that shared a bathroom, but found this to not be any inconvenience. A most enjoyable breakfast was had each morning and... More

This is the first time I am leaving a review on an accommodation. Don't get me wrong. We go for long and short trips every year, sometimes a few times a year. But I was really touched by the sincerity and warmth of the owners. If I do not write them a review, I will be doing them injustice. There... More

The hotel took us back in time. nicely renovated, with amazing paintings everywhere. Kathy and her team were so welcoming that i almost felt like family... More

We checked in during daytime but when we were introduced to the room, we were a bit taken aback by how dated the decor was. It also felt like our room was an ancient art gallery with many paintings hung up on all the walls, some portraits and some landscape paintings. Personally i don't like portraits because it seems like... More

This is without a doubt, one of the best experiences that I have has by just staying somewhere. Kathy was so helpful and went well out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The building has all the charm of its 19th century heritage and the location is perfect. Right on the foreshore and next to an awesome pub.... More

Kathy and Phil were superb hosts and made extra effort to make us feel welcomed. It was great to meet you,Simon. Thanks for the tips. We are always looking for ways to improve our service. We'll fix that leaking shower, and we have already put hand towels in the bathrooms. It would be lovely to see you again! More

Wow! What a privilege it was to stay in a heritage building and view the famous, classic oil paintings on display. They were a sight to behold and not to be missed. We were well looked after with a delicious cooked breakfast and around every corner were indulgences to delight us.(chocolates and port). The beds were very comfortable and the... More

The AIbany Foreshore Guest House is situated in a former bank building which housed the commercial operations of the bank and also provided the opulent living quarters for the bank manager. I came across the Guest House by chance when searching for accommodation online. And, as it happened, I was very glad I did because not only was the room... More

We had such a lovely stay at the Albany Foreshore Guest House. The manager, Dinand, from the Philippines, was an excellent host - and such an accomplished breakfast cook! A truly charming man. He made our stay memorable.
