We stayed 2 nights in one of the garden cottages on our trip along The Great Ocean Road. Our host couldn't have more gracious and welcoming. The cottage was warm and cosy with the fire going when we arrived and there was complimentary Port and chocolates for us to enjoy that evening. The gardens were beautiful with lavender hedges in... Awesome! Lovely studio apartment, with double spa. Friendly and helpful hosts. Decided to order a cooked breakfast, so yum! Reminded us of our time in the UK. Would definitely love to cone back again.

We stayed in a garden cottage at Clonmara Cottages for one night while doing the Great Ocean Road drive. The accommodation is a short drive from the main part of town and the water, with parking on site a short walk from the cottages. We particularly enjoyed being welcomed by the friendly cat and dog, and going to see the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. The power black out was most unfortunate and as pointed out, well beyond our control. The limited complimentary w- fi is due to an appallingly miserable service from Telstra. Again, not our doing. They are the only carrier able to service us at all. We take serious heed regarding your bathroom... More

I was much happier staying here than in some of the 5 star hotels that I visit on business trips. It felt like home. I will definitely be back on a relaxation trip. Clonmara is as what other Trip Advisor reviews have mostly written. It is quiet, comfortable and private. There was only 1 fault that I could find with... More

Thank you for your terrific review. I have written to you to follow up on your concerns regarding the kitchenware, as we have only just replaced all crockery and cutlery 4 weeks ago and would very much like to fix what we have missed. These are extremely valuable comments, as they may only be small but can irritate! We are... More

It's the little touches that make a difference, like breakfast fixings left in the refrigerator plus a carafe of Port for bedtime. Quiet, comfortable and private. If you're traveling the Great Ocean Road stay here instead of down the road in Warrnambool.

We phoned the cottages before booking and spoke to Ruth who confirmed that the cottages were quiet and had all the facilities we were looking for. We had the Garden cottage (no 4) and the visitors book showed it had guests since around 2001. For that age the cottage was in good condition and its design still fairly modern with... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us in such detail. Your comments are much appreciated by all of us. We are pleased that you found the accommodation met with your needs and that it was comfortable. We don't offer full cooking facilities, as we are bed and breakfast cottages, but do offer a BBQ and a dinner service,... More

To say that Clonmara Cottages in Port Fairy is charming is an understatement. My honey and I stayed in unit #3 which is called a Tea Cottage. This self-contained cottage had a two person spa, walk in shower, queen bed, microwave, small refrigerator, sink, couch, kitchen table and chairs, HD TV, port wine, and a good night piece of chocolate.... we stayed at the cottages near the tea rooms, very convenient for breakfast! The cottages are very well appointed and a full continental is provided, but strongly suggest that you try the breakfast available in the tea rooms. Doug, Ruth and Georgina made us feel very welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was always... More

We stayed at Plum Tree Cottage. We received a pleasant welcome. From the outside it looked like a very old cottage in a very English type garden complete with several loaded & ripe plum trees. Inside the Cottage was quite different - it was very pleasantly decorated and furnished with everything one would require on a holiday. The decanter of port... More

Thank you for your review. We really appreciate comments. Cherry Plum is our unpretentious, hideaway cottage offering peace and quiet in a really beautiful cottage garden aspect, yet only a short distance from the centre of town. We especially appreciated your comments on our Tea Rooms and would love it, if you find the time, having eaten there, to review... More
