At first, this motel looks good. Nice, neat and in the very centre of the main street. However, the list of what's wrong far outweighs anything else. Of all the motels we stayed at this was the most expensive despite it being way past peak season. The very worst was the fact that the only fresh water tap was centimetres... More

We are sorry you were disappointed with your stay and feel obliged to comment as this review has taken us aback! We have worked very hard to present a property that would come to meet guest expectation. We realise it is an older build but we have worked hard and invested in the property to improve its amenity. We take... More

I arrived late on a cold night. Thanks to the staff, the heater and light were on in my room so I was able to relax immediately. It was also great to read the paper undisturbed in the sunny motel garden.

We are 30 days into our road trip and this motel, while adequate, was the 2nd most expensive and the poorest standard so far. Luckily we arrived on a temperate day as we had completely missed the fact that there was no aircon. There is a heater and a desktop fan. Towels were thin. Room included a microwave, toaster, kettle... More

The room was a bit dark with rather overpowering paintwork but it was comfortable and the motel is very centrally located. The room included tea and coffee making facilities plus crockery, but nowhere specific to wash them up. There was also a fridge and microwave. There were tables and chairs on the grass outside the room. Peter was very helpful... More

Stayed here on the 2nd night of our Great Ocean Road trip. Check in was quick, easy and helpful, with suggestions being given as to where to eat and some nice local walks. The motel is in the very centre of Port Fairy, which made getting to the shops, restaurants and cafes very easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean,... More

This motel is very central with free WiFi & car parking. Ask for the discount vouchers for the local pubs & shops. You can walk to all the shops & resturants. You can order breakfast to the room, though it has a fridge & tea & coffee facilities if you want to do your own thing. The manager is very... More

Bit disappointed with the room, as it was small & dark, owing to being on the ground floor & having one window which looked out onto a near hedge. Perhaps upstairs rooms are better. All worked OK however, & the location is very good.

Thank you for your contribution. We agree some of the back downstairs rooms do get dark when the garden gets too leafy. Good in summer- helps shade the rooms but does minimise some of the light. We regularly have the hedge trimmed and that is happening as I write which creates a more light and airy feel. More

Stayed 2 nights recently and enjoyed the visit. The motel is ideally located with great cafés and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We spent an evening a the cinema run by local volunteers, great new release movies. Issues with the room....hate the all in one soap/shampoo pump, plus our fridge didn't work well, didn't freeze ice!

Leaving it a little late to make a booking we managed to secure one night at the motel. We arrived very late in the afternoon and left early in the morning so the review of this accommodation is based on a very short stay. The location of the motel is exactly as the name suggest - it is in the... More

This motel was fine for an overnight stop on an Adelaide to Melbourne road trip. Check in was easy and friendly, with useful information on local facilities passed on. The room was a little dated, but clean, with a comfortable bed, a TV, fridge and AC. Port Fairy is pretty small, so everything was within easy walking distance.
