We ended up staying two nights instead of one! Room was lovely. Bed and pillows were the best and most comfortable on our trip. Staff were friendly and the hotel in smack bang in the middle of the town. we were able to walk everywhere! Recommend a meal and visit to the Star Hotel. Free drink with your meal and... More

Visited the Central Motel on a recent golfing trip and had a great time. Obviously very 'Central' which made it easy to get around at night for dinner and to the pubs. Very clean and had a great nights sleep. Cheers to Peter and his family for looking after us.

Unlike some of the other reviews, our room was bright and fresh in white and blue and looked as if it had been recently decorated. (Room 14, I think. upstairs). Beds were great – firm and comfortable and I had the best night’s sleep of recent stays in 4 different hotels. We hadn’t pre-booked and probably could have paid less... More

This is an oldish motel and probably a little hampered by its age and design. It is centrally located in the main part of town and so close to shops and restaurants (Port Fairy does have a lot a restaurants of many styles). The entrance is a bit hard to see as it is a driveway off Sackville St. The... More

At first, this motel looks good. Nice, neat and in the very centre of the main street. However, the list of what's wrong far outweighs anything else. Of all the motels we stayed at this was the most expensive despite it being way past peak season. The very worst was the fact that the only fresh water tap was centimetres... More

We are sorry you were disappointed with your stay and feel obliged to comment as this review has taken us aback! We have worked very hard to present a property that would come to meet guest expectation. We realise it is an older build but we have worked hard and invested in the property to improve its amenity. We take... More

I arrived late on a cold night. Thanks to the staff, the heater and light were on in my room so I was able to relax immediately. It was also great to read the paper undisturbed in the sunny motel garden.

We are 30 days into our road trip and this motel, while adequate, was the 2nd most expensive and the poorest standard so far. Luckily we arrived on a temperate day as we had completely missed the fact that there was no aircon. There is a heater and a desktop fan. Towels were thin. Room included a microwave, toaster, kettle... More

The room was a bit dark with rather overpowering paintwork but it was comfortable and the motel is very centrally located. The room included tea and coffee making facilities plus crockery, but nowhere specific to wash them up. There was also a fridge and microwave. There were tables and chairs on the grass outside the room. Peter was very helpful... More

Stayed here on the 2nd night of our Great Ocean Road trip. Check in was quick, easy and helpful, with suggestions being given as to where to eat and some nice local walks. The motel is in the very centre of Port Fairy, which made getting to the shops, restaurants and cafes very easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean,... More

This motel is very central with free WiFi & car parking. Ask for the discount vouchers for the local pubs & shops. You can walk to all the shops & resturants. You can order breakfast to the room, though it has a fridge & tea & coffee facilities if you want to do your own thing. The manager is very... More
