Good location near main part of Port Fairy and the river. Breakfast is brilliant, rooms are nice (we stayed in the King Suite). Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, a very good example of a B&B. Overall, would definitely come back and happy to recommend.

Very much a value for money location. We loved our room and the common area with the fire place just outside our door, great to sit and have a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers all from the local area. Having a restaurant attached made our choice for dinner very easy, I would highly recommend having dinner then... More

We stayed here one night, after deciding to extend our stay in Port Fairy. Our ground floor room led directly onto the lovey garden and allowed us to take advantage of some lovely weather to relax after a day's walking and exploring. We were able to make our own hot or cold drinks and enjoy the home made cookies. There... More

Just got back from an overnight stay and had a great time. We arrived at about 7.00 pm and presented our gift voucher, we booked a Queen room and were going to pay the extra but the lovely lady (one of the owners - Liz I think) said no problems it's Friday night so you can have it at the... More

After a hectic day on the Great Ocean Road, there is no better respite than a stay at the Merrijig Inn. The hotel is charming beyond belief, while at the same time, provides every modern convenience, including free wifi in the common areas. We arrived late in the evening, having missed any dinner options in the area, thus relying on... More

My daughter and I shared the quirky upstairs attic which just fit two single iron beds, and a bathroom which required a bit of head ducking under the pitched roof! We had the run of the place after dinner, and made cups of tea, read books and watched tv before a good night's sleep with a dormer window open to... More

After a couple of ho-hum motel stays along the Great Ocean Road, the Merrijig Inn was a lovely respite. Welcoming innkeepers, homey rooms, and delectable dinner served on the premises. An ideal location--close to both downtown and the gorgeous beach walk make this the perfect place to stay.

The inn is a perfect place to stay. Excellent accomodation, a great eclectic mix of furniture with bags of comfortable style. Home baked cookies awaited with delightful teas. The food was sublime, we ate our evening meal at the inn and all three courses were a fantastic combination of flavours and a feast for the eye too, with wonderful use... More

Just spent a night at the Merry Jig Inn on our way through to Melbourne. The Inn is small, quaint and comfortable. We stayed in a queen room which had a small sitting area off the bedroom - great extra space for suitcases and dressing etc... but not really suited to much else. The room and bathroom were clean, well... More
