We were here in 2012 and again in August 2014. Love the place! Great meals, great service, great bedding and a breakfast to die for! But why did you guys replace the nice lounge suite with that awful ten inch high sofa that looks like it has had the legs cut off?? We will forgive you for that tho!! Love... More

We stayed here overnight as part of our first leg of a South Australian Holiday and it was just lovely. The staff were attentive and warm and having seen the height of my husband (tall) moved us down from their cozy attic room which I had booked, to the king suite at no extra cost. It was huge with its... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in a Queen Suite using a voucher from Living Social. The hotel is well located and our room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and I particularly liked the organic apple juice. However there is no choice for the cooked breakfast. Consequently one morning I had to... More

Lovely welcome after driving all day , so homely. On checking in we were upgraded to the King Suite, which was an unexpected surprise. The inn is one of the oldest buildings in Victoria, but has been lovingly restored. Our first experience of staying in a B & B, the bed was so comfy, it was like being in a... More

A great B&B in a very old building that has been beautifully restored. Common area has a beautiful open fire. We visited when there was high winds and heavy rain, felt very snug in this quaint old inn. Is close to the river and the fishing fleet and a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants.

We stayed for the one night & without doubt chose the best place in Port Fairy to stay. The food was excellent, but the Pate dish was the best i have ever had. I have no hesitation recommending Merrijig Inn & looking forward to a return visit.

A friend and I stayed at the Merrijig Inn last year. The place was amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Port Fairy. The building has a rich history and is Victoria oldest inn. The rooms were beautifully laid out, and had everything that we could need. The beds were so comfortable I really didn't want to... More

We stayed only one night but it was a pleasant stay, very spacious rooms with living room, big bathroom, you can also use a little kitchen. The landlady was very friendly, nice breakfast, not so many choices but good. Great location.

We read the reviews and decided the attic rooms sounded rather small so opted for a Queen size downstairs but found ourselves upgraded to the King suite, with large bathroom (unusually with bath as well as shower), sitting room and comfortable bedroom. Being April, the temperature was fine. We enjoyed the characterful furnishings, and had a delicious dinner and breakfast.... More
