Our one night stay at this very comfortable hotel exceeded our expectations. Welcoming and helpful reception staff. Our room was well appointed and very clean. A generous supply of tea, coffee and fresh milk was provided. I was a little excited that they also supplied Kookas Country Cookies - great to support a regional cookie maker! Our room also had... We visited Port Fairy during the past week and spent two nights at the Seacombe House Comfort Inn hotel. Our room, Executive Suite in the newer Comfort Inn part of the complex was spacious and well equipped. King size bed, small leather couch, work/reading table and generous supplies of tea and coffee. The hotel manager, Stephen was courteous, efficient and... More

We've stayed here every year for the last fourteen years and somehow we've never reviewed it before. We have stayed here for the music festival weekend. For some years now we have stayed in room 31 on the ground floor and it is a comfortable room with everything we could wish for. A comfortable king size bed, clean bathroom, plasma... More

Mrs C and I were in Port Fairy for" The Folkie", the towns annual music festival, and were lucky enough to get a last minute cancellation at The Comfort Inn. The front desk was busy when we arrived, but we still received a warm and friendly welcome from our hosts, Stephen and Roxanne. Check in was quick, sadly parking was... More

My wife and I arrived in Port Fairy after a long drive and visited the local information centre and met Aaron who was exceedingly helpful and recommended a number of Hotels and also restaurants. On the hotel front we went to the Seacombe House Comfort Inn as above and we were greeted by Steve on reception, another very helpful and... More

During a trip to Australia for the Cricket World cup, we decided to drive from Adelaide to Melbourne, taking 3 days. Port Fairy was one of our stopovers with accommodation booked at this motel/hotel. Must confess i wasn't expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised. Stayed in one of the 'motel' style rooms, which was very spacious. It's not a... More

A breath of fresh air - the welcome we received was worthy of a hotel that costs 20 times more per night! It was so lovely to have so one who very obviously loved their job and was proud of their hotel, super helpful with great knowledge and recommendations for eating etc. Upon seeing us dragging our ridiculously large suitcases... Hotel in good location, 2min walk to cafes and Port Fairy's limited but good shopping strip. IGA supermarket basically across the road and shuts at 8pm, useful for any supplies you may need. Dinner - few options in PF, I opted for a takeaway Thai (lemongrass Thai about a 5min walk) - really good. Hotel checkin was seamless, reception staff... More

This was a fabulous place in every way from the first moment you arrive. The receptionist was extremely friendly and offered some very useful information on directions and places of interest which we followed. We had two rooms, which were spacious, very clean and quiet too. Nice bathroom, good shower, and very comfortable beds. The hotel is situated within walking... More

Rooms here are comfortable and roomy. Receptionist was very helpful and offered good advice on what this small, but quite charming, little town had to offer. Simple breakfast here but ample continental portions. All in all, a lovely one night stopover in a picturesque town.
