After checking out the other Accomodation opposite the pub, which was a bit tired looking but free internet. We walked up the road and found this place, sure it was a little dearer but big room with huge spa bath in the room & luxury towels & linen. And also a $30 brekfeast voucher. So in the end it was... the recommended eatery karoa was not open for brekky So we went to Waves, the breakfast was like mash no flavour just bland, bland and bland. Had to pay extra for hash browns, bacon, mushrooms, onions obviously paying for the off peak season The flat white in small cup, too spoilt living in Melbourne milk burnt Staff not friendly no... We stopped in Port Campbell on our way back from a bus tour along Great Ocean Road and visit to the Twelve Apostles. We received a warm welcome from the young lady working in the restaurant. We got our coffee and two fabulous scones with cream and jam to go. The scones were awesome and the coffee was great. The... More

We enjoyed our room, it was large and clean. The hotel is in a great location, the town is very small and beautiful. The hotel is small, older with outdated furnishings. You park in front of your room. Great place to stay if you want be near the 12 apostles and penguins. The reason I am giving this hotel a... More

Stayed here for two nights at the end of walking the Great Ocean Way. Rooms are spacious and the bathrooms well fitted. I also had a spa bath in my bedroom. There is no internet access which is acceptable given its location although I guess they will have to address this soon to meet guest requirements. Ate breakfast here plus... More

We stayed here after a long day driving and sightseeing on the Great Ocean Road. We decided to treat ourselves and stay in one of the King rooms with spa bath. Accommodation prices at Waves are a little expensive compared to the motels and backpackers nearby, but the apartments are new and of a very high standard. The spa bath... More

The rooms are very basic & in need of a bit of sprucing up. However, the room was very clean & the towels were lovely and thick. Waves is in a great location, in the main strip of shops and restaurants close to the beach. We stayed on a Saturday night so it was a little loud around town. In... More

it was quite shocked for me when I realized there was NO door/divider for toilet... It was ok because I stay alone, what if you have 2 ppl in the room? One should stay outside at the balcony while the other use the toilet?!?!? LOL not a good idea, mister designer! Room number 5, in case you wonder. A 15... More

Stopped here for late coffee and dessert. You know how sometimes walking into a cafe / restaurant and saying you just want coffee gets a less than warm response? Well, quite the opposite, nothing was too much trouble and great homemade desserts! Well done Waves!

I did not stay in the hotel / I went to the restaurant only. I had excellent fish and chips, and salad there. The fish was very good, very fresh, and not heavy at all. I came at 10pm when other restaurants were already closed, and was pleasantly surprised that to see this restaurant still open and providing a good... More
