Only stayed 1 night but I wished I stayed longer. These cottages are convenient to the best parts of the Great Ocean Road. The cottage we stayed at was clean and very homely. It could easily have accommodated a large family although there were only 2 of us. The owner is very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this... More

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Cottage contained everything you would expect to find in self contained accomodation. Only complaint would be with the bath towels. Definitely need replacing with new ones. On the whole it was an enjoyable stay and would stay here again.

We read the guest book teeming with favourable comments praising the cottages and we were stunned. What could be an incredible business and cosy little cottages nestled in the bush, was old and dingy, tired and needed a makeover years ago. To get to 'reception' you drive to the house which is part junkyard and then walk through a small... More

We stayed 3 days at this cozy 2-storey driftwood cabin right next to the woods and my daughter find its natural rustic beauty simply sweet and wonderful. At the first level, one finds a small sitting area, dinning, well equipped kitchen, bathroom and the master's bedroom that is nicely and comfortably furnished. It opens to an adjacent private terrace where... More

My husband and I have stayed at Eastern Reef Cottages twice now, most recently in December 2012. We have had a fantastic time each time. Service was very friendly. I love the cottages - made largely from driftwood and reclaimed materials, they are very unique and rustic. If you want a larger hotel experience in a shiny cookie-cutter room, this... More

After my recent visit to the ERC, I get the distinct impression that both the cottages and the management are in need of some TLC. There was little sign of hospitality, I felt begrudged when we required assistance and the accommodation looked like a good make over was two years overdue. Too many times did a window winder come off... More

My husband, daughter and I stayed 1 night and found it to be perfectly adequate for the small town of Port Campbell. We drove the Great Ocean Road and wanted to get as far as the Twelve Apostles so we booked this quaint cottage just the day previous to our stay. Plenty of room for 3 people. Rustic, quiet, and... Driving the great ocean road - a lovely stop close to the 12 apostles. We caught the sunset at the apostles before arriving at the cottage and then as we were leaving the next day, ducked back to see it during sunlight glory. The location is lovely and quiet, away from any road noise, welcomed with a smiling face despite... More

1 night, everything good: price is very decent, bit off the town (good if you have a car, bad otherwise), clean, comfortable, quiet. there is a kitchen and bbq to cook your own kangaroo steak ;)
