Charming large cottage on a quiet road near to the beach. Comfortable and homely with a substantial breakfast overlooking the gardens. Really friendly and attentive owner who knows the area well and gave good advice on local attractions. A great base for Phillip Islands - don't miss the little penguins.

We stayed one night at the Genesta House B&B in the Sunflower room. The place was beautiful and relaxing. We bought in food and wine for the evening and ate on the little terrace outside our chalet style room overlooking the well tended to gardens. Very welcoming owner, continental breakfast and some nice touches in the very well furnished room... More

A fabulous guest house which i can't recommend highly enough. The decor, the welcome by the owner, the pretty garden and the opportunity to sit on the veranda at the end of the day sipping a complimentary glass of port made the stay excellent in every way.

Came here for two night with my husband, we stayed in the fernery and it was just so old world and detailed and comfortable we fell in love with the room immediately. The garden here is just gorgeous, the whole place is so tranquil and serene, the little verandah outside our room with cane chairs, all just so lovely. Susan... More

My wife and I have just returned from an 8 night stay at this wonderful B&B. We stayed in the "Maple" room which is at the front of the premises, overlooking the marvellous gardens that surround this original old house that has been restored by the owner operator "Susan Handley". Our room was etremly comfortable, with a large period style... More

We've just spent two nights at this lovely little guest house and thoroughly enjoyed it! Susan gives great attention to detail, the room (the Fernery) was charming and well appointed. The shower wonderful, location excellent, breakfast good, garden beautiful and hostess delightful. You will not regret your decision to stay here!

Genesta is a lovely place to stay for a few days away. Lovely rooms, gorgeous gardens, walking distance to shops and the beach. Susan was a lovely host and very accommodating to our needs. We would highly recommend staying at Genesta when traveling to Phillip Island.

Ideal location, super " olde worlde" cottage style b & b with gorgeous gardens. Susan is a warm, kind hostess who makes sure you enjoy your home from home while giving great tips for where to visit during your stay in Cowes. Thanks to her we dined well at the local Thai restaurant, visited a quirky art gallery & headed... More
