Holmwood is an older property which has been completely renovated by Jill, creating a homely cottage feel outside and newly appointed to high standards within. Decor is lively and very comfortable. You do indeed feel as though you are a guest in the house. You can spread yourself out onto the garden, the verandahs, the lounge room, and the morning... More

Stayed for 1 night in March in one of the 2 cottages. Decor and lighting was great, cheery, and comfortable. Each cottage has a private front porch and it's own gate which was a nice touch. Super clean and well laid out. Would stay here again.

Our family took most of the accommodation available for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Well located, clean, comfortable and very attractive accommodation. Jill could not have been more helpful, advising us on the best set up for our family with couples, babies etc. Also great advice on where to go and to eat etc. Breakfast was... More

Stayed at Holmwood, in the Coastal Cottage, for 5 nights from 12th March 2014. It was wonderful, the cottage was beautifully decorated, clean and very welcoming. The home cooked breakfasts were very tasty and filling. A very big thank you to both Jill and Judith, staying at the Holmwood added to our wonderful trip in Cowes for Brigid and Chris's... More

Stayed at the B&B for three nights in early March 2014. We were very warmly received by owner Jill and team Judy and Jason. The guesthouse, which is situated on a very quiet road, is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and has a very homely atmosphere throughout. Breakfast was superb and included free range eggs (from Jill's... More

We would have loved to have spent an extra night here. The room was lovely, spacious, clean and very comfortable and the owners were lovely! The breakfast was the best, my husband still talks about how nice it was today. I would highly recommend Holmwood Guesthouse to anyone visiting Philip Island.

Hi Vicki thanks for your lovely review. I'm glad you wish you could have stayed longer. So many guests are drawn to the Island to visit the Penguins and don't realise all the other lovely treats the island has to offer. So many world class walks, fantastic beaches and loads of animals - wallabies, echidnas, seals and of course the... More

We arrived at the Holmwood late afternoon and were greeted by the owner with a warm smile and shown to our amazing room. It's difficult to know where to start but the decor is modern and in keeping with the coastal location and the house itself. The bed was large and had a great mattress and top quality linens and... Dear Chris Thanks for your thoughtful review. That HP Sauce - it is to a Brit what Vegemite is to an Aussie! I take your point about the full length mirrors. We are looking into how we can provide them behind the wardrobe doors. You made mention of our toiletries - we have just started using the Molton Brown range... More

Only stayed one night here but wish we had stayed longer. Having just stayed at The Langham in Melbourne, we were delighted that the quality of this establishment was every bit as good, in fact the breakfast was better! The house is very tastefully decorated and the room was spotless and very comfortable. A very warm welcome and a very... More

Sadly we were only booked in to this wonderful place for one night. I ..would easily have liked to stay for longer. From the moment we saw the the hysteria covered veranda and colourful garden we know.. We had struck lucky. We were certainly not disappointed! Our welcome was warm and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and so tastefully... More
