We were staying in Room 16, a room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed (4 share family room). Totally agree with the previous reviews. The place is well furnished and clean. I was worried that shared toilet would be a problem but was pleasantly surprised. 2 toilets and 2 showers on each level. Toilets are clean, don't... more

I highly recommend this hostel. The design, decor and layout are clean, modern and inviting. There's a cosy lounge room on the ground floor with big couches and a fireplace, kitchens on two levels, and big windows everywhere to enjoy the light. Like other eco hostels, the double bedrooms have no en-suite bathroom, and the rooms themselves are quite small,... more

Loved our stay at Apollo Bay YHA. Apollo Bay is a good mid-way point for those going along the GOR. We made the YHA our base and made day trips to the Otways and Port Campbell. This makes for a much more relaxing trip than driving down the GOR in one day (which was what I did in a prior... more

My husband and I had 2 beds in a 4 share dorm which were simple but nice...but the facility itself is just beautiful, we felt like we were staying in someone's beach house! The kitchens are big with lots of equipment, plates, etc and the lounges are comfortable and charming. We love that the hostel is committed to Eco-friendly practices...all... more

We'd seen Eco Beach in the Rough Guide as being *the* place to stay in Apollo Bay. We hadn't really planned on staying in youth hostels (felt too old) but given the reviews thought we'd give this one a go - and how glad we are that we did! For a start, we definitely didn't feel too old: there was... more

This certainly was the most luxurious and stylishly appointed YHA I have ever visited. The kitchen with all possible arrangements and utensils was the best aspect, followed again by stylish common rooms with a fireplace, and very pleasant lounge music. The rooms are ok, none with attached bathrooms, but you can easily put up with that. The bathrooms are well-kept.... more

With its environmentally friendly approach, amazing location, great views, cleanliness, facilities, friendly staff, good price how can you fault this place. The cosy log fire lounge provides the perfect end to your day and the kitchens are very well equipped. The staff are friendly and can help you with everything you need. We only had one night here so were... more

I only stayed in this hostel for one night but left wishing i planned to stay for a longer period of time. This YHA exceeded all my expectations and i would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, homely atmosphere. The rooms are really very basic and quite bare but with the rest of the shared spaces (and... more

Upon arriving at Apollo Bay Youth Hostel, you will find yourself in a clean, modern and airy environment. This is truly a fabulous hostel...modern design with clean lines. We stayed 2 nights here in a family room which had a double bed and a bunk bed. Very comfortable. I was amazed at how new and clean the place was. We... more
