We have stayed at this hostel 5 or 6 times over the past few years - each time we have booked the family room for ourselves and our two children. The family room has a double bed and bunk beds, the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The facilities are shared but are fantastic - two bathrooms - upstairs... More

My friends and I only stayed here one night as a stop over on a road trip of the Great Ocean Road and absolutely loved it here! Apollo Bay is a really beautiful place. The hostel is located one street back from the main strip of restaurants, cafés and shops. The facilities are really good. The hostel has a great... More

It's in such a convenient spot, 2 minute walk to the shops and beach so very easy. Stayed in a girls dorm and that was clean, basic but clean. The ladies shower was seriously gross, wouldn't shower in there without any shoes on. Needs a good hit with some bleach. The living area is really nice, feels like you're in... More

The Hostel is conveniently located within an easy walk of the town including supermarkets, restaurants, shops, etc and information centre . And once street from the beautiful beach. The bedroom was basic - but well presented, clean and comfortable. its built on ECO design so not high end finishes and very natural & harmonious with landscape. Bathrooms were clean and accessible.... More

This YHA is completely eco - great place to stay for exploring the Great Ocean Road! Nice community areas; great kitchen and quite rooms offending lot of space. Very good value for money. All Apollo Bay facilities close by.

The Hostel is conveniently located within an easy walk of the town including pubs, restaurants, shops, supermarket etc and of course the beautiful beach. The bedroom was basic - but well presented, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and accessible. The communal areas were wonderful - practical designs meaning plenty of food preparation and eating areas. Lounges were comfortable and... More

Has a lovely homely but contemporary feel to the place, the rooms (quad) are spacious with good sized lockers. The communal lounge on the ground floor has a great wood burning stove that was on when I visited. The whole place is very spacious and clean with a fabulous roof top garden with great views, brilliant place for breakfast.

We stayed a night at the YHA which was just located a block behind the beach front and the main road with the shops within each reach. The room was big enough and had sufficient lighting and sockets to recharge our appliances. The only draw back was that air circulation was only through the glass door and wire netting. In... More

With complete kitchen and lounge areas and thick brick bedroom walls, this offers the best of both worlds. Super eco-friendly without the wierdness. Cleaning is done by people staying for longer and wanting to pay less. We were there close to Christmas 2012 and it was top notch. Great view from the rooftop lounge!

This hostel is an eco hostel and if you know the programme Grand Designs then you will feel like you are staying in a place like those on the programme. This hostel is really modern and a beautiful piece of eco architecture. It is so plush. They have two kitchens and lounges which means there is always room to cook.... More
