Interesting food belying the usual warning about food with a view. But the views from the rooms and the restaurant down to the sea are spectacular. Eat early evening to get maximum impact by day and night. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. A bit of a hike back up from Apollo Bay if you are staying for several days... More

We wanted to try the restaurant because of the justifiably good reviews, and enjoy a drink or two, so, given the distance from Apollo Bay, we stayed the night. Not cheap, but worth it for the amazing views of Bass Strait. Room was nicely appointed. Funky bathroom. Even had an ocean view from the shower!

Stayed 1 night with my family in Villa 7. + GREAT view of the ocean + Great for star-gazing too! + Spacious + Basic but clean rooms + Good breakfast + Restaurant serves great food (so I didn't mind paying a little more) and service was great. - A slightly pricey stay. But if you are travelling with your friends/family... More

A great two days staying at Chris's. Excellent location. Fantastic restaurant. Up there with the best. Chris himself provides that old fashioned welcoming service. Little extras like dipping bread/olive oil with olives. Offered a complimentary ouzo to start your evening meal. Villas are good with electric blankets, washing machine, heating etc. fairly pricey but we felt it was worth it.... More

This was our 8th stop on our trip around Australia. We decided to stay here as it is advertised as 'luxury accommodation' and it was one of our treats on a long journey. At $330 per night for a one room villa, we expected what ordinarily would be presented in luxury accommodation, however it was lacking those extra touches that... More

This place has a 5-star view for a 3-star room. Set in a hillside above the Great Ocean Road you’ll have stunning views of the ocean below. It’s perfect for sitting on your balcony to watch the sun set with a bottle of Australian wine. We were upgraded to the king suite, which was very large. It has a kitchenette,... More

Had a great dinner here, decor is very modern, perhaps a tad sterile, but very nice anyway. The views are fantastic. Wait staff were very professional, food came quickly and was very tasty indeed. Who can ask for more.

Ambience lovely More of up market Greek restaurant The dishes still presented a casalinga style( basic) however Perhaps plating could be improved Lamb dish tasty but lacked depth The duck apparently fabulous from one of our guests The fish ( hapuka) adequate but nothing flash Service good without being overbearing Wine list good Beers good Restaurant carpeted and relatively lively... The view from the room is great. However the room was not as advertised. We booked through Hotels.com . Advertised as having a balcony, newly refitted rooms and a roof top terrace on property,. Ours didn't have a balcony and was dated. So decided to go to the roof top terrace to have an afternoon drink. No one know what... More

View is great, seeing the sunrise over the ocean is worth one night and one dinner, at the most. Must drive to the location, as it is located well away from town and on top of a hill. Villas are clean but old. Each villa has a master bedroom and a guest bedroom with basic amnesties such as microwave, fridge... More
