We stopped in for one night whilst travelling the Great Ocean Road and we enjoyed ourselves. The facilities were all very clean and tidy, a simple breakfast and tea and coffee was provided. I particularly liked the resident cat! The mattress was just a foam one so it wasn't super comfy and the curtains didn't cover the windows but we... More

Odd, unpleasant, noisy & sinkage are the main words we would use to describe the Apollo bay backpackers. While it seems a good idea in theory to convert a run down little house in the suburbs & charge people money to sleep there, the house lacks any charm or homey feel you might find in a similar set up. This... More

We stayed in a very small 4 bed dorm, which barely fitted all our backpacks. The room was dirty with spiders in one of the beds, the mattresses were humid, very old and worn out. Plus at night the rooms get very cold. So we had the worst night ever! Next to this, the hostels staff (owners?) were very very... More

We stumbled across this place as its well signed from he main street we hadn't booked on line and there was a room available 65 bucks and breakfast included! The rooms were a bit dated but not a problem and the breakfast was really good a choice of 5 cereals plus toast with loads of different jams fresh milk and... More

Spent one very stormy night in this cosy, colourful and well-heated backpackers. Quite basic facilities, but all clean. Breakfast of cereal and toast provided. Free coffee and tea. Could imagine it would be very crowded during summer, but it was lovely and peaceful for us 2!

The hostel was very nice for the price we've paid. Beds were confortable, clean bed sheets, toilets and showers work perfectly. When we were there it was not noisy either. The space for meals is alright too, the kitchen is fully equipped and the hostel offers self service breakfast. Only problem is there is no wifi.

We stayed for one night in a twin share room. We were three people in one room and shared the bathroom and the kitchen with another couple. The room had two really old beds in it and it smelled as if nobody had ever opened a window before. The matresses were really worn out and the rest of the furniture... More

This is a chilled out little hostel. We stayed for a night in a dorm room. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning, just a fan so it would be an uncomfortable nights sleep if it was a hot day. The hostel itself is pretty cosy with a nice communal area and free wifi. We found the staff very friendly and... More

very bad receptionist and service!! the receptionist rejected to give us a receipt! and we have 5 people, the receptionist only gave us one key, refused to give us one more! In addition, the receptionist just come inside our room to collect the sheets without getting our permission or informing us in advance at 9am!! I am changing my clothes,... More

Husband and I stayed here both are 41 years. We were on a road trip and finding accommodation as we ambled along. Excellent location with wonderful views. We had a private double room with our own ensuite. Our room opened up to a family style room with a kitchen table and small kitchenette. There were a couple of kitchens, one... More
