As this was booked through our travel agent, we weren't expecting such a large and well-appointed room when we pulled in. We stayed in one of the Terrace rooms. Although not one of the most luxurious units, definitely lovely and large. The bathroom had a shower only but it was still very spacious and new. The bedroom area had two... More

We only stayed for the one night in the Captains Cottage but wished it was longer. Its a lovely spacious room with a very comfy double bed a large double walk in shower and twin basin bathroom. The breakfast was very nice with eggs and bacon cooked to your preference.

We spent 2 nights in one of the Terrace rooms, it was a spacious room with a small outside seating area. Although there are no views the hotel is one street back from the Great Ocean Road and restaurants. The breakfast was very tasty especially the scrambled eggs that were cooked to perfection. There are laundry and drying facilities (that... More

We arrived fairly late in the evening about an hour or so before dinner. We found the room to be modern, clean and comfortable. We reserved the Captains Cottage. It was a pretty large room with a good sized shower that worked well. Beds were comfortable and the fireplace was nice, given it was a bit cool in the evening.... More

My wife and I stayed one night here on our trip along the Great Ocean Road. We greeted at reception by a very friendly and helpful person. Our room was on the SE end of the Bridge, top floor. The room was large with a couch and bed and a great large modern tub. The bathroom was behind a wall... More

Stayed for 2 nights on our trip down the great ocean road. Our bridge room was lovely and well equipped. Would have been helpful to have a map on our first night, but found them the next morning. Breakfast was the downside for us, with no menu and the coffee machines needing refilling every time I went to use them.... More

This is a small family run hotel of about 8 rooms set one street back from the sea front. What it lacks in location ( no views of the bay) is more than compensated for by its convenient central position, friendly attentive service and clean comfortable well appointed rooms. A full breakfast was included in our price as was a... More

We stayed for two nights. Nice welcome on arrival by local receptionist who offered advice on local area. Room itself was lovely although property was set back from the main waterfront and faced the back of a supermarket so no views from the room we were in. Nice bathroom, beautifully decorated. Staff at premises seemed great but the owner/manager whilst... More

For the price this was good. Friendly welcome (2 cheerful dogs) nice breakfast from lovely waitress and clean spacious room, tho the furniture had seen better days. A very good location. Lots of dead flies on the pelmet going upstairsto 'the bridge' which let the place down a bit and also not representative of the bed rooms or public room.... More

The Captains was a B&B for a trip along the Great Ocean Road from Adelaide and after a long day of driving the room was exactly what we needed! Extremely clean and very modern, the Bridge room has a 'feature' bath to unwind and soothe. The selection of DVDs in the lobby was a nice touch and the place had... More
