I think this hotel is great - only a 4 stay rating but in reality was 5. The ground floor rooms are located behind a renovated old style pub right in the water. The rooms were spacious, clean and beds comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great bistro Meals. It appeared that there were more rooms inside the hotel and... More

Great accommodation, lovely friendly staff . Very nice spot with awesome views. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Attached to a wonderful pub, with very friendly and welcoming locals who really made our evening. The public bar runs great promotions including happy hour and so on. The meals were good just got our order wrong and delivered the wrong food.... More

The motel rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and have great views of the Tamar River. The room tariff was very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bistro in this hotel serves exceptionally good meals. They are a hearty size, very well presented and cooked to perfection. We will certainly be staying here again, the next... More

We spent the night here as we were booked in to see the penguins at Low Head that evening and didn't want a long drive back to Launceston afterwards. Well, it rained, hard, and the tour didn't happen, but we were happy with our room in the main hotel. We had a tasty supper and a quiet and comfortable night,... More

Right on the foreshore of Georgetown, this is a rather average motel for a reasonable rate - if one really needs to spend a night in Georgetown! An air conditioner would have been welcome when I visited but a ceiling fan would also suffice in this mild climate with fresh sea breezes and clean air. The restaurant next door is... More

After pre-booking and paying for what we thought was as advertised as 3Star, and travelling from Hobart, we were very disappointed in our room. There was NO AIR CON, and it was stinking hot; there was no screen on door so we couldn't open the door to get fresh air without being inundated with flies/mosquitos; there was a shower over... More

We just stopped here for one night and arrived after dark (it was winter). The receptionist was about to close the desk for the night and appeared a little annoyed that we showed up in the nick of time. We were in a room away from the main building, which wasn't made clear at check-in time. Pity really as the... More
