This beautiful little mill provided one of the highlights of our holiday. Steeped in history and carefully decorated in period furniture, it was like walking back in time. In the loft was a romantic four-poster with soft and snugly doonas to ward off the morning frosts. The breakfasts were to die for, with apple and berry compotes, homemade jams and... More

My friend and I stayed at the Meander Cottage for one night last yr. We just searched on the Internet and found this interesting B&B, and I am glad that we did. The place was lovely and I enjoyed looking at all the items in the cottage. I had a glass of port from the sitting room after back from... More

We stayed in the Chimney House for 2 nights in March separated by a day. The Lady of the Mill, Anne, was so welcoming. She gave us a guided tour of the whole house, and we took in the unusual mix of history and antique items. Everything was available to make our stay comfortable. Anne lent us a DVD of... More

We stayed in the Chimney House and were overwhelmed by the ambience ,we really felt the history of this very charming ,true B&B. My husband loved lighting the fire, the attention to detail ,we had every thing we needed, even a piano which has a close link to the owner Ann. I settled down and finished one book on Frank... More

We have just the pleasure of a stay at the Chimney House at Bowerbank Mill B&B and we regard it as one of the best B&B stays ever, including England. The cleanliness, the ambience, the privacy, the eclectic mix of antiques and curios, the tranquil setting, the unobtrusive daily servicing of the cottage, the fantastic and very filling gourmet homegrown... My partner surprised me with a trip to Tassie for my birthday, a nice 4 day weekend. I was so excited when I found where we were staying as I love old buildings and locations. When we arrived at Bowerbank Mill an amazing old mill in the town of Deloraine. Anne greeted us with a warm welcome and gave us... More

Along with two friends I recently had a four night stay at Bowerbank Mill, we stayed in Meander Cottage which is an amazing property. The cottage is furnished with antique furniture and is decorated with a wonderful selection of collectible items. Anne the owner of the property is an outstanding host, she is quite rightly very proud of the work... More

Charming, historic B&B with three units, each lovingly decorated with antique furniture and period décor. We enjoyed the fresh roses from the garden and the chocolate treats. Each morning there were homemade breakfast treats, fresh fruit from the garden, jams, fruit compote and a nice visit with the owner Anne, who is so knowledgeable about the Mill history and loves... It was great to stay in the part of the mill with the fireplace. Enjoyed all of Anne's stories about the building and surroundings along with the homemade jams. Even though it was the middle of summer the Tasmanian weather was cool enough to enjoy the fireplace. Bed was extremely comfortable and loved the touches around the rooms. Will have... More
