Stopped here to buy picnic supplies. Delicious range of cheeses, pâté, salmon mouse, condiments etc. also plenty of beautifully made foods such as quiche and vegetarian lasagne. The chocolate brownie was exceptionally moist and tasty. The staff supplied plastic knives and forks and we took our picnic to nearby Liffy Falls and were surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the... As lovely as that review is, we can't claim it! I'm pretty sure that this is a review for the Deloraine Deli - and yes, they do have a great range of quality produce. Barb and Grant do a great job in their new location! More

Nice Old Pub, with great staff. and a great menu. Probably the most versatile pub in the region that caters for all kinds of people. A great spot to rest before the journey to Cradle Mountain or the Great Lakes! Typical historic Pub style accommodation at reasonable rates, the accommodation show signs of upgrade too. Well worth the stop, but... More

Bar and restraunt are OK but the hotel accomodation and breakfast is very poor. My wife and I stayed her for 5 nights (I stayed for the first night) with friends in another room. Second day they forgot to put any breakfast out, then no knives left out, wife cancelled breakfast for the final day but hotel offered no refund... More

I was staying at a B&B next to the hotel and was advised by the owners that the Hotel café had good meals. On arrival we where seated quickly and given a glass of water, that was the finish of any service as we where there for twenty five minutes and never served or attended to by any staff. We... More

I have never complained about anything in my life but I was compelled to make my dissatisfaction known to the staff about the very poor standard of the room I was given. They were understanding and moved me to a much cheaper room of the same standard. True they are in the process of refurbishment however some the these reviews... More

We drank and ate both nights at the hotel. It obviously has had a recent refurbishment which was carefully thought through to add a contemporary feel to a historic building. Staff were friendly and attentive, especially in the DelRock cafe where our meals were delicious and well presented. Would recommend to couples, groups and families. would definitely return to sit... If you just need a bed and you go for character over all mod cons, this hotel is worth considering. Yes, it's a bit old-fashioned but it has class despite the fact that it's former faded beauty has been modernized to turn a profit - you can't blame them for that as the reason there's a welcome here for the... Very disapponted! Our stay lasted 2 hours at this hotel! We checked in on Jan 7th with Martin who was very helpful and the only reason im scoring better than I should. We settled down for the night at around 10pm and just as we were about to get to sleep there were four very loud bangs on the door... More

There are always two sides to every story. On Ms Stenson's return to the Hotel, the Owner was pointed out to her, but was not approached. It was an extremely busy time of the day, on which I was working in the bar, and therefore only had time to point the owner out, but not to make any introductions. Ms... More

Totally disappointed ! If you stay there don't stay in a room on the western side of the building - you will be awoken by either the chiller for the bottle shop running all night, or the clomping of feet from the gym attached to the hotel. No coffee or milk in the guests kitchen for both days- asked after... More

We have just become aware of this review and are quite disappointed to hear that Col did not enjoy his time with us. We take on board all his comments, and are striving to make some changes at the Hotel that should make the experience much nicer. Our Hotel accommodation is currently undergoing some refurbishments, with new bathrooms and updated... More
