We stayed in lodge 3 which is a waterfront property right on the edge - away from other people. I got this lodge as I booked a few months in advance, though the other lodges look just as good. #3 has clear views of the ocean from the room and balcony. I love how the blinds are pulled back and... more

Loved the boat-shaped chalets, no 3 for us, which looks out towards the sea which is just metres away. All the facilities you need to be comfy, even on a chilly Autumn day as it was for us. We didn't notice any noisy chickens, though we were surrounded by peacocks in the morning, and we had to be very careful... more

The Bicheno Hideaway was recommended to us and it didn't dissappoint. We stayed in chalet 2 which has ocean views and friendly wildlife who like to come and say hello! The chalets are fully self contained and private from other travellers. They have walks down to the beach from the doorstep. The deck has a BBQ and a table and... more

My partner and I stayed in Chalet One at this gorgeous little place. These curve-roofed delights are tucked away in bushland and surrounded by free-roaming chooks (and a couple of roosters who believe 5am is a great time to wake everyone up!), wallabies, peacocks, rosellas and I'm sure a gazillion other furry critters that we didn't have the opportunity to... more

We were staying in Cottage 3 which I would highly recommend. While all of the chalets are tucked away and have plenty of privacy, no. 3 is right on the end and has uninterrupted views out to the ocean. The owners of the hideaway have hand-reared wallabies that come out to feed each evening and peacocks and peahens that wander... more

We stayed at the Boathouse in March-09. The Boathouse has been fitted out with care and attention to detail. Everything has been thought of from mozzie repelent, to spices for your BBQ. The boathouse sleeps eight. A king size bedroom with ensuite toilet; two queen size bedrooms and a bunkroom sleeping two. However there is only one shower/bath in the... more

We stayed in "The Boathouse" for two nights and found that it was both clean and well maintained. The surroundings were relaxing and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It is very much an honesty system - we were shown to our unit, we found the fire was roaring, we were shown where the wood... more
