I was travelling with my daughter for a week in Tasmania and this was our favourite overnight place. We were there for 2 nights. Accomodation is in an individual chalet which had a well equipped kitchen and two bed rooms - one with large double and the second with 2 singles . Some of the chalets are larger. The living... more

We hadn't booked anything and decided we wanted to stay in Bicheno - beautiful farmland and countryside sweeping into a pristine coastline. We were sent to this hotel by a nearby b and b which was fully booked. Thankfully they had a room for us at the last minute. We spent one night here, and enjoyed it. The location can't... more

terrific location but very poor housekeeping no milk ,bread maker dirty like most other things in kitchen ,overall a nice location but if you are fussy about cleanliness, this is not the place to stay. Years ago it may have been top class but by todays standards it is dated. more

We stayed at Diamond Island Resort from 21/03/2009 to 23/03/2009. The first thing that disappointed me was that I had heard so much about the fantastic restaurant that they have onsite, however on checkin we were advised that because there was a conference being run during our stay, the restaurant would be unavailable for us to use for any meals.... more

We also were enticed by the resort style description offered by travel brochures. Whilst a beautiful location the room was average and housekeeping had certainly let it down further. No teatowels, no soap, no washing up liquid. The breakfast provided for 4 was austere even by convict standards. A half cooked loaf of bread, 600ml of milk and one type... more

The Diamond Island Resort is located in a beautiful position just minutes to a superb beach. The accommodation, however, leaves a lot to be desired and was not worth the $200+ per night we paid - I guess we were paying extra for the view!! The bed was in an attic that had the creakiest floor boards I''ve ever heard,... more

We were generally pretty happy with our stay. We stayed in a 2 room apartment with our baby. It was quite comfortable and fairly clean. The location was extremely nice, with a beautiful view over Diamond Island. We didn't see any penguins but the view itself was fantastic. We had dinner at the restaurant on site, which had very nice... more

Looking at the reviews of the Diamond Island "Resort" here, I now wish I had researched this place prior to booking, but a friend recommended it and the website makes it look great. The main problem was in the room type - I thought I had booked a 2 bedroom apartment as we were 2 couples but it was not... more

The hotel has a breadmaker in the rooms so you come in to the smell of fresh bread. However, ours was undercooked and there is no bag or container to save it in so they may as well not have bothered. There was a kitchenette. The room was decent and overlooked a nice lawn and the sea. You walk down... more

We booked this resort after seeing the slick presentation on internet.Requested double bedroom rang to confirm but when we arrived they tried to give us a single bedroom in an attic! When queried they stated that this is what we had booked ,luckily I had documentation to prove otherwise. It turned out that they had overbooked which apparently is not an isolated... more
