Lovely camp ground, clean facilities, good sized campsites for all types from tents to RVs. Kangaroos roam freely along with the Cape Barren Geese. Close to the Flinders Chase National Park and other attractions on the South and West coast. just remember to shop before you get there. Say hi to Quack for us, we're sure he'll find you :)

If you are new to caravan parks - the tourist type, without residents - this would be attractive. The facilities are good and the sites generous, with a mixture of grassed and ungrassed powered sites, plenty of camping space and apparently clean, well appointed cabins. The camp kitchen was well equipped and out of the weather. The tariff was surprisingly... More

We based our selves here for the Western side of the Island in our camper trailer. Close to Flinders Chase National Park and not far to Cape Borda Light House, Hanson Bay, Vivonne Bay and Seal Bay. Nice quite park with lots of wildlife, especially at night. Don't leave your food out at night, the possums and wallabies will eat... More

The campground is nice and spacious, the facilities are good and the staff is nice. But nothing is as funny as sitting in front of your camper van, eating dinner, when suddenly a wallaby sticks it head around the corner and hops by to have a look at you (and potentially, to grab a bite of your dinner - but... What a treat of a place to stay in. We had the Banksia cabin for 4 people. Very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife within the surrounds of the park. Koalas, kangaroos and Cape Barren geese to name a few. Great starting point for Flinders Chase National Park, about a 5 min drive from... More

What an amazing place! We chose Western KI Caravan Park for it's location - it's 10min from Flinders Chase National Park which meant we could visit the park early in the morning (before the big tour buses arrive) or later in the evening (after the crowds left). It was also a good base for exploring many of the attractions along... More

Being our first time on kangaroo island we decided to stay here and what a great choice it was! It was amazing to see kangaroos and wallabies right out the front of out cabin and it's an amazing experience and we will be recommending this place to everyone and we will be coming back :)

We stayed in one of the cabins that was just fine for our needs. It is close to Flinders Chase NP and its attractions. Then there is the on-site wildlife. From your cabin door you'll see wallabies and kangaroos, galahs and Cape Barren geese. Lots of ducks on the dam. An echidna scratching in some undergrowth. A koala scampering across... More

Just the type of accommodation we prefer: clean, good equiped cabins, lots of space for one larger and one small family (in Banksia cabin). Camp owners are very nice, helpful and friendly. We found this caravan park to be a perfect "base camp" for Kangaroo Island research - for all who love nature parks and wildlife. Great! family from Slovenia

We really enjoyed our stay at Western KI, the Chalets were great clean and tidy and the Camp Kitchen was one of the best we have used during a 5 week 10,000km trip through WA NT and SA. Highly recommended, and within driving range of all the Western attractions.
