We had intentions of staying within the park, but the later it got, the more the wildlife started appearing on the roadside. Hence KI caravan park. An excellent choice with a great camp kitchen complete with combustion fire. No one on site after 4 pm but self registration. Great clean sites and lots of wildlife and drive thru sites for... More

This was by far our favorite campsite on our road trip from Sydney to Port Lincoln and back! We stayed here for 2 nights but wish it lasted longer. We were traveling in the small campervan with only one stove top so we were delighted that there was a large camp kitchen for us to spread into and get cooking.... More

Worth the extra drive from the ferry, it's at far side of the isle ( 17 hr expedition from the big M ), great relaxing atmosphere, wallabies, Roos, koalas, birds etc all around you, even had the occasional visit from the possums exploring on the canvas roof at night. If you leave door/tent open I think they and the wallabies... More

We have stayed in many caravan park cabins around Australia and our cabin was at the top - Acacia - very clean, the kitchen had every utensil that one could want and they were clean and not tired and well worn like in a lot of places. The wildlife, to wake up and find a Koala bear staring at you... More

Western KI Caravan Park and Wildlife Reserve has been a wonderful surprise. We stayed in a wonderful and clean bungalow, with a very useful kitchen. But the most exciting time has been outside, with koalas, wallabies were running around the bungalow. Western KI Caravan Park and Wildlife Reserve is very near to the Flinder'S park entrance

A wonderful campsite providing you are pretty self sufficient. We stayed 3 days at the end of Feb (i.e. not peak season) and had a great time. I'm sure the site struggles when it's busy - limited facilities and very limited campsite shop. There's nothing for miles so you'd think the would offer a broader range of groceries etc. The... stayed a night here in February in one of the log cabins as sleeping in a tent is not an option for me. The cabin was a nice little one bedroom thing with a good sized kitchen and pretty good sized bathroom. Make sure you take a walk around the property and you will see heaps of animals- wallabies, kangaroos,... More

We stayed here for four nights and reallyed enjoyed this family owned and operated caravan park. Great amenities, friendly staff, very clean and literally 10 minutes from Flinders Chase National Park. Additionally the owners have opened up their property to campers to offer a couple of lovely little walks with ample wildlife.

KI itself is wonderful, and this campsite being in the western half is surrounded in nature - wallabies, kangaroos, bird life, etc etc, but the facilities are extremely limited, and for that reason i wouldnt stay again. the woman at the front desk was unhelpful and borderline rude - NO ICE FOR YOU! there must of been 100 people at... We stayed in in very nice (almost new) cabin. Cabin's are wonderful, with a veranda, heating and TV. The Caravan park is very close to the visitor center (were you can have coffee and a meal) and the national park. As you are close by you can visit the Remarkable Rocks when no one is there. An hour after arriving,... More
