We stayed just one night after a couple of weeks travelling. Upon arrival, the host introduced himself with a handshake..I was impressed. The rest of the experience was equally as impressive. Our room had the airconditioner on for our comfort, not something that had been done at any of our other stays. Our dinner in the restaurant was lovely and... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us and we are pleased that you enjoyed your time here. I would like to apologise for the fact that we didn't explain to you that our restaurant was closed as our chef had suffered a heart attack and passed away at the end of June. During this... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at the motel. The location is good, far enough away from the main road to feel secluded, but still close to the township. The room was a good size, well maintained and comfortable. The breakfasts were simply superb, a great start to the day. We were well looked after by Joe and Marlene the... More

Location's good.... nicely perched on the hillside facing east and handy to everything in the Clare Valley. Plenty of Parking.... and nice friendly, helpful staff. Decor - rooms and bathrooms are very nicely decorated. But, unfortunately, the bathrooms are extremely chilly. The bedrooms were okay once the air conditiioner had heated up. We stayed for two nights at a very... More

We really like Clare in the winter and have made the trip twice over the last few years. On both occasions we have made this motel our base for exploring the district and have not been disappointed. It is about 1.5 km out of town, and well away from the main road on the top of a ridge. It is... More

Set back from the road on a hillside a kilometre or so before Clare town centre, this place is quiet and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. An old-style and noisy air conditioner was the only heating available on a cold July night, but the bedding was adequate to keep me warm when the machine was turned off. They... More

We booked in for a work trip. they showed us to the area the rooms were in and it looked pretty old. I wondered where we were staying!! To my surprise the room had been refurbished, it was decorated well and there was beautiful fresh roses in my room that smelt amazing. We decided to eat all our favorites around... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here one night before leaving the Clare region to drive back to Melbourne. We were pretty tired after a big weekend of winetasting ;) and the Clare Valley Motel was a great place to relax comfortably. The room was large and well-appointed, and King bed was wonderful! Only small quibble - we decided to make... More

Rooms are of good size and good price. The menu looked great but as we like to walk to dinner, found this just the right position out of town to walk in and back.friendly reception and a free paper too. Like the colours displayed in the rooms.wonderful to just lookout of your roomandto know the bike and walking track is... More
