My partner and I stayed in the 'Bridal Suite' and it was gorgeous! We had our own private ensuite and claw foot bath. The room was huge with beautiful stained glass windows and private verandah. Being the middle of winter, the temperature was around 13 degrees; however our room was warm due to the heater, split system air conditioning and... More

Hi koala81 thank you for choosing the Abbey to take the time out and spend valuable time together. I am pretty sure I remember who you were - it was a pleasure having you stay. We are looking at what we can do to make the bike seats more comfortable :), but the ant bed tennis court will just need... More

What an amazing place my niece and her husband chose for their wedding. The chapel, the gardens are just beautiful and a fantastic place for photos. I was one of the lucky family members to have stayed on the Friday evening and Saturday morning. The room I had was so comfortable and relaxing, even if I had to share it... More

Hi Greg thank you for taking the time to give the Abbey a positive review - despite the 'resident ghost' :) You travelled so far to attend the wedding so it is especially wonderful that you had a great time, enjoyed the stay and have some wonderful memories of spending time with your family. Take care Mark, Sonia, Bazil the... More

My step daughter chose "Abbey of the Rose" to celebrate her wedding and it didn't disappoint. My reviews are normally fairly short and to the point but this place deserves so much more The Rooms There are 11 rooms that sleep 23 people and each room is surrounded with history. Our bride's room had stained glass windows with a four... More

The Abbey of the Roses is described as a boutique guest house and from the church architectural facade, it seems to have all the trappings of a wedding venue. However, it does not have the substance of what makes a wedding – a joyous occasion for the bridal couple to share with their beloved families and friends. Bridal couples pay... More

Really dissapointed Greg that you have gone onto social media and written this review to try and tarnish our name because you didn't agree with some of the policies that we have regarding accommodation at the Abbey and you were annoyed your adult son was asked to pay $60 to replace the toilet seat he broke whilst here which upset... Just a 2 hour drive from Brisbane, Warwick proved to be the perfect destination for a night away. To unwind after a very busy term, my husband and I with two other couples spent a weekend exploring Girraween National Park and many wineries. On one of the other couple's recommendation, we chose the Abbey of the Roses as our accommodation.... More

My partner surprised me with two nights at Abbey of the Roses over Easter. Pulling up outside and realising this was our accommodation for the next two nights left me speechless (doesn't happen much). Great location, and the bedding was 5star comfortable. Breakfast was generous and in an excellent setting. A fabulous alternative to an ordinary overnight. The hosts, Sonia and Mark could not have done much more to make you feel welcome.

This was our second visit to the Abbey, the first time we stayed in the bridal suite in about 2011 I think this was not long after the new owners had taken over.
