Upon arrival to Zanzibar the carpert in the $400+/night penthouse was discusting and dirty and threadbare!!. The walls havent seen paint in 10 years with dirty marks and chips everywhere!. I wish we'd checked Trip Advisor before booking here. Be warned - all the bad reports listed here are true and accurate. We were completely ripped off too. Zanzibar Accommodation is no where near 4 star. From stained bed linen, stained carpets, cracked crockery, little or no suitable cooking utensils this accommodation is old tired and in worse shape than the average cheap motel. When we arrived at The Zanzibar Apartments we were impressed with the reception area and the receptionist was helpful. There was no wow factor with the apartment (305). The carpet in the hallway and through to the dining area is very badly stained, there is water damage outside the laundry and bathroom. The apartment itself was clean. more
