Upon arrival to Zanzibar the carpert in the $400+/night penthouse was discusting and dirty and threadbare!!. The walls havent seen paint in 10 years with dirty marks and chips everywhere!. I wish we'd checked Trip Advisor before booking here. Be warned - all the bad reports listed here are true and accurate. We were completely ripped off too. Zanzibar Accommodation is no where near 4 star. From stained bed linen, stained carpets, cracked crockery, little or no suitable cooking utensils this accommodation is old tired and in worse shape than the average cheap motel.
