After seeing this place reviewed on a travel TV program I was sold! The location is spectacular, with stunning views up and down the beautiful coast line. The lighthouse is located within a National Park as well, so is surrounded by bushland and down the (steep) path is a great little BBQ area. The rooms were basic but well kept... more

This gem is divided into three sections, a B&B- the "lighthouse keeper's cottage" and two self contained units the "assistant lighthouse keeper's" and "visiting officer's" cottage. My husband and I spent 2 weeks travelling up the Eastern Coast of Australia, and by accident found the Smoky Cape Lighthouse. It is some distance from the nearest town, and we even met a couple of kangaroos on the road to the lighthouse! This became one of the most memorable stays of our holiday. Smoky Cape Lighthouse is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for something very peaceful & relaxing.
